We live in the area and have loved the Alfredo dish at this restaurant in the past. We ordered this dish again and the Alfredo had no taste whatsoever. It was watery and absolutely flavorless. We called to have this corrected and see if they could make a replacement and were told the manager would call me back to right this, and no one ever called us.Disappointed.I wish they would care enough to right this.

It was just okay. We waited a really long time at the door before anyone acknowledged us (despite it being a quiet Monday night AND having reservations). The tables have a sheet of paper on them instead of a cloth, which makes it feel kind of cheap. Some of the servers were literally wearing sweatpants, which also made everything feel cheap. Our server was really nice, the food was mediocre. The dessert was very good. we were from out of town so I don’t think we’ll be back in the area but if we were, I’d probably look for somewhere else. I think it would be OK if you were expecting an Olive Garden experience, but we had the incorrect impression that this was a fine dining establishment so we were kind of disappointed that it was so casual. However, the bill did not reflect the casual nature of this place. It was quite expensive for a place with paper on the table and sweatpants on servers.

Tucked away on the fringe of Ohio University's campus happenings, you will find Ciro, an Italian restaurant featuring both traditional eats and at-home favorites. With a window into the kitchen, you can see your order being made fresh and the freshness is only further highlighted by the taste of the actual meal. Most notably, I ordered the special which featured a polenta crusted cod, risotto and broccoli. The fish tasted fresh and was cooked well. The risotto was the perfect consistency and the broccoli was vibrant, green and tender. The service was excellent and we were able to get a table on a Friday night without a reservation.

Gorgonzola stuffed pasta was a unique recipe that I will now crave forever! Menu has some standard dishes & some adventurous ones. The atmosphere is lively but not loud.

I took my son here for his 21st birthday. He had chicken Parmesan and said it was top notch! I had the lasagna which I also liked. The service was fast and friendly, I do recommend making a reservation if you are going in the evening, it was packed on a Monday night! It is a casual restaurant, dress up if you like but casual works too. A bit pricey for me but the food was great. A local restaurant servicing great food.

One of the best restaurants I found in Athens.I was there for a business trip several times and the food was always tasty. The pasta is more "al dente" and not "over cooked" as in many other

Great service. Other than the cold sandwiches, the food is delicious. But portion size falls a little short.

My wife and I brought our daughter and son in law to dinner the other night. When I saw they had Osso Bucco, I knew what I was getting. I also got a small side of Fettuccine Alfredo. My son in law got the same.My wife and daughter both got Spaghetti.Dessert was Cannolis, Creme Brule and Affogato.First we got bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic. It was so good we got a refill. All the meals were excellent. The Osso Bucco was perfectly tender and delicious. It's a good portion as well. The desserts were great. My wife did not like the Afgogato, BUT I told her she wouldn't like it. She doesn't like Espresso or Frangelico which are the main ingredients. The service was excellent as well. One more thing... the side of Fettuccine Alfredo. It was great to have some real, authentic Alfredo made with Butter and Cheese instead of what passes for Alfredo at cheap Italian places.

We were in Athens for my graduation. This was our first time visiting Ciro. I didn't know we needed reservations and just showed up for dinner. They offered to seat us at the bar. Then arranged the reservations to be able to get us a table. I was not expecting that at all! The people working there went above and beyond expectations to accommodate us. They helped make my graduation weekend extra special.
