Grabbed a few beers here while visiting Athens on a Hocking Hills trip! I'm from Columbus and love their new location there. This one is a lot smaller, but beautiful inside and their beers are incredible. The host we had on Thursday was SO kind in explaining our questions. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time. Excited to come back and try the food.

My favorite place in Athens. Everything I've had here has been delicious: beer, sandwiches, pizza, salad, burgers -- all so good. The staff is really friendly too.

Jackie O's fantastic brews and service. Megan L. was our server and was pleasant, friendly and so very kind. Lunch time in a college town can be crazy but it was delightful at Jackie O's. The ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable. Our Fish and Chips were more than enough to eat. The spicy tartar sauce was excellent and Megan also provided Malt Vinegar. We will be back!

Not sure what is going on with Jackie O's. The last 2 trips have made the decision to not return. All orders were wrong (both visits) and not just minor things either. Yes, the manager comped meals and gave a discount but 2 times is a pattern. Just doesn't seem to be run right these days. Hate giving this review because this used to be a solid staple! Just not sure what's happened over the last 2 months. Beer is still great.

Neat spot for food and beer. Our server was very friendly and apologetic for the amount of time it took to prepare the food. Certainly a wide variety on the beer menu. Flights of 4, 6 (an Ohio flight board) and 8 available. All were very tasty. A good food menu and the fried chicken sandwich I had was very good. It is a good thing we weren't in a hurry. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and while business was steady, there were still seats available. It did take over an hour to get our food, which were just pub sandwiches. Again very good, just seemed a long time to wait for 2 people. Maybe caught them on a tight staffing day.

Had a pleasant experience here, good food and good wait staff, but what happened afterwards is why I give it one star…..I believe I got undercooked chicken in my Mac and cheese bowl and therefore got horrific food poisoning, not only that, it was on a first date!So instead of doing all the fun things two people going out normally do I spent the entire night lurched and crouched over her toilet evacuating every ounce of matter from my insidesI’m surprised my date didn’t just drop me off at the clinic and wish me the best of luckI know that cooks don’t get paid enough and probably could care less, I don’t blame them, but pleeeasseee do a once over on the meats guys I don’t wanna go through that again

Tried the ribeye today for lunch. Was below expectations - probably my own fault for having the ribeye at Texas Roadhouse earlier this week and expecting similar. Will go back for the hot honey pizza which was great on previous visit.

I can't give Jackie O's Public House in Athens, Ohio, anything less than five stars! The service here is fantastic, and the quality of the food is consistently outstanding. The Appalachian chicken sandwich is a must-try – flavorful and satisfying. And let's talk about the pizza – it's truly top-notch, with a perfect blend of flavors. The ambiance is welcoming, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Jackie O's is a culinary gem worth visiting. And I recently ordered 20 meals to go with no issues or missing items. Now that’s SERVICE!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jackie O's, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The highlight of my meal was the ramen soup, which was absolutely delicious. I opted for the ramen with kimchi, mushrooms, corn, carrots, and chili, and it was a flavor explosion in every bite. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the combination of ingredients created a perfect balance of textures and tastes. In addition to the ramen, I also had the pleasure of trying their ribeye, and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, the ribeye was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It was a true delight for the taste buds and a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at Jackie O's.The ambiance of the restaurant was another aspect that stood out to me. The decor was a perfect blend of old-school charm and industrial aesthetics, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. It was a place where you could relax and enjoy your meal while immersing yourself in the surroundings. The staff at Jackie O's were incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable.Overall, my experience at Jackie O's was exceptional. From the delicious ramen soup to the perfectly cooked ribeye, every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. The old-school and industrial decor added to the overall charm of the restaurant, and the attentive staff made me feel like a valued guest. I highly recommend Jackie O's to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

I don’t know what happened. This used to be my favorite place in Athens, the menu changed and has just went down-hill. Tonight was the capper. I ordered $50 worth of food + tip.Prior to ordering the website told me 20-25 minutes, after ordering it told me 1 hour & 15 minutes. No problem, I can’t wait that long so I’ll cancel. I call to that and was told it was mistake and our food should be done within the original time frame. Awesome. Upon arrival to pick up my to-go items, the hostess is clueless about my order but then goes to the back, eventually finds it and off I go.I complete my 20 minute drive home to find a salad with no dressing and ramen with no broth. I’m truly just sad this is what’s happened here. Attached is the ramen that was brothless
