Ohio University game day—Halloween weekend. Found this place uptown. Upon opening, they became very busy. However, we had excellent service from Elise. The portobello mushroom sandwich was phenomenal! Side salad was very nice! Will be back the next time we are in town!

Stopped in for a pint and some pub food, we were not disappointed. Fantastic bar tenders, service is quick and casual. Richelle got a Valley girl and I got a Leichthaus (lighthouse). I thought the Valley Girl was on the sour side for me. I liked the Leichthaus, crisp and clean, 1st time with that style, but I like the Kolsch style beers.I chose the southern Ohio poutine, it fantastic, gravy made with their AppervationImperial Stout. The gravy is thick, full imperial stout flavor with a note of bourbon. The portion they serve is enough for two.Richelle got the mystic wings with garlic parmesan sauce. Fantastic idea the wings are very nice without sauce, then you only need to dip the for an added flavor element. Garlic Parmesan is thick, almost like yogurt, it has a quick hit of spicy garlic, then it goes away. The best part is it's balanced, you don't have garlic flavor in your mouth a half hour later.

Service was amazing! Tim answered a zillion questions from our group and was an expert on every beer brew, every menu item, and put up with our picky eaters. We sat outside on the patio with our dog Evie. Food was perfectly presented hot and delicious. I definitely recommend spending your evening dining at this hidden gem.

Good beer, very average food. Don’t get a salad- it was wilted and brown. The chips that came with the burger were too soggy/stale to eat. But the beer was worth it!
I seen this place on the map and only thought it was a place to eat. Did I know they had a great menu and made their own beer. We arrived sat down and Mark Zuckerberg's dobble ganger waited on us. He was very friendly. I tried all of the hazy IPA's and stuck with his recommendation.We had good food and good beer. Our waiter was friendly, quick and knew his s*** and provided us with nothing but excellent service. The place is large and not like your typical brewery when you walk inside. You need to sit down and look at the large list of available beer. They have 30 different beers to choose from. I couldn't imagine trying them all and having a liver remaining. :)This place is located right in the heart of Ohio University.

We had a great dinner at Jackie O's! Expect a wait, especially on a weekend (we went just before 5PM and had about a 30 minute wait). Great food, great service. Highly recommend!
