The food is always pretty good. The last three times I have ordered, I haven’t been able to complete my order due to a language barrier. Avoid dining in unless you have a lot of extra time.

Came for the Indian food, left wanting to come back for the genuine hospitality. I feel like I'm walking into my favorite Uncle's kitchen, where he greets me with the most divine tea and then fills my belly with nutritious, delicious food. The naan is uncontested and the Bangin Bartha is truly Bangin. Not to mention the Paneer Palak, get out of town. Actually, I've never eaten one bad dish here. I'd rather give 10 stars but I'll settle with 5.

Probably my favorite place to eat in Athens! I go there every paycheck! Staff are all so friendly and helpful, and quick service! I love the alu choley and naan, it’s spicy and the potatoes are tender. The naan is so soft and perfect!

Definitely recommend to anyone looking for food in Athens.Vegetarian options: I'm strictly vegetarian and it's so nice to go to a place with so many good vegetarian options.Parking: If you go later than like 4:30, you don't need to pay for meters and parking isn't very hard to find.

He explained the menu and determined our tolerance for heat.The chicken pakoras appetizer really stood out. The main courses were wonderful: spicy lamb Vindaloo for me and a mild lamb Kurma for my wife, both served with rice. We also got naan bread & lassis.There was complimentary chai tea at the end of the meal.Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp at the front door.
Star of India is one of my favorite places to have dinner in Athens. My husband and I eat here at least twice per month, but sometimes every week. Dishes can be ordered mild to extra spicy. The service is always top notch. We are so lucky to have this jewel of a place in our town.

Interesting experience this past weekend. Tried to place an online order and could not do so. Tried to call and do the same and no one answered the phone to do so. When we got there and gave the takeout order we were told that it would be 25-30 minutes which turned into over 45. When we asked for a receipt I was given a hand written one without any prices for the items we ordered. Very archaic to say the least. The tandorri chicken was moist and good. The chicken tikka masala and chicken makhni were not very big portions for what we paid and more sauce than they had chicken. Neither were mid-spicy as requested and not spicy at all. Not the worst Indian food we have had but certainly not the best and the takeout service has an awful lot of room for improvement............................Regarding your response. Thanks you/u for what? This wasn't a glowing review as you have some real problems to fix.
