Met my wife at this bar. I am a 56 year old OU alum my wife was in jbar twerking on every guy by the upstairs bar. At one point she pissed into a pint glass and some Acacia kid drank it. End of the night she was so drunk I got her to my place and had my way with her. Since then we've been obsessed with each other. I love you baby. Happy 20 years, love Decky Wecky Doodle.

Wow Keenan was a blast. A very kind worker who always tended to our needs whenever we needed anything. I highly recommend the j bar especially when he is working. What a kind young man can’t recommend him and this place so much.

Worst bar in Athens. As busy as they are you'd think they'd have a few extra staffers around to serve drinks. The people at this bar sucked but the drinks are even worse. I couldn't have gotten drunk here if my life depended on it.

The upstairs bartender only cared about his friends. I asked three times times if I could get a drink and he told me there were other people more important than me. All I wanted were quick and simple shots for my friends. There should be more management upstairs.

We stopped in for a beer on our way to find dinner one (early) eveningt. Brooke, our bartender was friendly and provided great service. Since it was just us in there, we had a great conversation with her and got some great restaurant recommendations (check our Ciro!). We made it a point to stop by another time and she was just as friendly - although we were happy to see she had a few more customers this time! She also gave us some great beer recommendations!
Been 21 for close to a year now, and Jbar is still the only bar in Athens that denies me. Door guys have no idea real IDs from fakes and let hoards of sorority girls rush in without showing ID.

Was here on 9/27 and waited over 20 minutes to get a drink. Completely acceptable on a Friday night except the bartenders weren’t busy and were just taking shots together and one was making out with a customer over the bar. I’m fine if the staff wants to drink and swap spit with the customers but at least get me a drink to enjoy it over. 2/10
