When in Athens - it's The Pub. My favorite of all the bars on Court Street. Burger is from a local ranch - quite the upgrade from when I was in school.

I went there to go visit a friend that was sitting at a booth, I went to enter the building and the door guy stopped me and snatched the ID from my hands he looked at me and looked me up and down at my gay pride outfit and told me “he was told not to let me in” which I find funny cause I haven’t been there in years and never did anything to be banned! He was super disrespectful, super Homophobic, then LET TWO GIRLS BEHIND ME IN AND THE ONE GIRL EVEN SAID SHE WAS 20!!! I will never be back there and he needs to be fired! I’m in my mid 30’s a townie and never once been banned by a bar. This was a straight case of he was homophobic and wanted to let the girls in behind me.

Great dive bar in Athens. Cool small college town vibe. Helpful staff and good burgers. Fried mushrooms and potato skins are a nice addition to the burger

Never been to Athens before and got trapped eating Cafe food for a week. Ventured off and found the Pub, which lives up to its name. Great burgundy door leading you into a gallery of memorabilia, laughter and good vibes. I sat at the bar was quickly greeted and ordered wings, beer and a double of Jamison. The wings came out quickly and were a great size for the price. If I ever come to Athens again, I'd definitely stop by.

Said they had the best burger in Athens. Not even close. Wings were not great. Prices looked great but everything ala cart. Bar scene. Typical college bar. Probably better night time spot.

My son and I eat here once a week or so, so that tells you something about how highly we think of this bar/restaurant. The service and food are always very good. The food and drink prices are very reasonable too. It's an older pub sort of feel, not a place where you would normally bring the family for Sunday brunch. But if you are in Athens, and you want a good burger or sandwich (some of the sandwiches are great), fries, chili, and/or beer cheese soup, look no further.
