I live outside of Pittsburgh and planned to be in Avon for my son’s 47th birthday. For years I baked a Boston Crème Pie for him. This year I called Chez Michael and he made the most delicious and beautiful Boston Crème Pie ever! The bakery is quaint with wonderful aromas and welcoming staff! Five Stars aren’t enough!!

Owner was extremely helpful in helping me with cookies for a last minute baby shower! The cookies were a hit and the cinnamon roll was the best one I’ve ever had. Very large portion sizes. Even walking in to the bakery it smells so good! Thank you! Will definitely be coming back.

I enjoy most of their bakery goods. Downside to this bakery is that they sell out of items especially their blueberry scones. They seem to rarely have them anytime after 10:30 am on Saturdays. When they are available the blueberry scone is absolutely delicious.

Food quality poor. Order Ruben sandwich - meat did not taste fresh - toasted bread burnt - also ordered egg salad- also very poor quality. Prices of sandwiches do not match taste and quality. Will not be returning again. Was informed owner is not on location often - just in and out. This could be reason for poor Quality. Do not recommend!!

We enjoyed lunch at Chez Michel. It was fun looking around the market while we waited for our order. Chez Michel is a cute little French market located in The French Creek area of Avon. It is tucked down a hill, so you don't hear a lot of traffic from the main road. The market area had a large selection of interesting canned items. There seemed to be items you wouldn't find other places. There was limited seating on the inside and a nice patio area outside. We chose to sit outside because the weather was perfect. At first it didn't seem busy, but as we were sitting there a steady stream of people seemed to be stopping in. Chez Michel has a variety of pastry in addition to sandwiches. I do wish they had actual serving dishes and not all disposable items. I would have added a latte to my order, but did not want a disposable cup. If you like French cafes I would give this a try.
Cute French cafe - next to a large parking lot with a few tables outside! It's mostly carry out as an FYI. I got the egg croissant with ham and it was delicious - warm when it comes out. And we split the French toast bar - definitely ask for them to warm it for you!
