What an awesome little hide away! Family treated us to this place while we were in town and it didn’t disappoint. The whole experience is why you go to places like this. From the servers to the food to the preparation presentation just awesome! I had the halibut and woah. A wonderful blend of flavors. Mixed with their wedding soup(which was a first) and I thought it was delicious! Followed by the banana foster…you HAVE to get the banana foster. We will definitely make this a place to visit when we are in town. Thank you for the experience!

Our server, Eugene, was excellent. He was formal as well and friendly. He was attentive and prompt. He helped make our excellent meals more enjoyable. The noise level was pretty high, but the room was crowded and the tables were close together. It is expensive, but for special occasions, just right.

The homemade pasta was very good. I had the cavatelli, sauce bolognese, tomato, pecorino. Food came out piping hot, pasta was perfect al dente. Definitely enjoyed the meal and would recommend giving this place a try.

We were hear two years ago and loved it. Very romantic, food and service was great. We came back this week we were disappointed. Not romantic at all. They literally sat older couples at the bar area for valentines day with a TV on. Younger couples were sat in the other areas that were romantic. The menu didn't have any appetizers other than seafood. No chicken on the menu. 99 percent of it was seafood. Not your typical Italian menu. They had a lot more to choose from a couple of years ago. There wasn't even a Normal salad or Ceasar salad on the menu.

The Dover Sole was delicious, moist and buttery. My friend had the scallops and they were tasty as well. The cauliflower was amazing. We had cream brulee for dessert and it was fantastic. The waitstaff was very attentive. Well worth the money.

We had the veal parmigiana and it was the most tasty and unique version of this dish. Cheese that smothered a layer of capellini and top of a thinly cut veal with bone attached. Marvelous! Tiffany our waiter gave fantastic service!

We made a reservation when Giovanni's popped up on Open Table. We knew about it but haven't dined there in many years. It's just as lovely as it was ~30 years ago. The atmosphere is elegant and the service is divine. We dined there with another couple. We started with a wedge salad and the other couple had the beet salad (split by the kitchen); both were fresh and delicious. Mixed reviews on our entrees... our dining companions ordered the halibut and linguini; both were served hot, and they said they were delicious. However, my husband's filet mignon was overdone and cold (they replaced it quickly), and my scallops were cool but perfectly cooked and very tasty. All of the staff were excellent and attentive. Overall, we had a very good experience and will visit again.

I recently dined at this restaurant through OpenTable and had a rather unfortunate experience with one of their oysters. It was spoiled and made me sick. Despite being assured of their freshness, the oyster had a foul taste that made me ill. Additionally, the table provided for our party of 8 was too small, and to make matters worse, there was a projector screen in our faces from the table behind us, disrupting our dining experience. Upon contacting the restaurant, their response was disappointing. They failed to take responsibility and refused to compensate me for my suffering, even after speaking with the chef and the owner. Overall, I'm deeply dissatisfied with both the quality of the food and the lack of proper customer service.

I am a big fan of Veal Scallopini. I ordered this on my visit last evening with my wife and her nephew. What a disappointment! This is a dish that I often cook and enjoy variations of this veal dish at Valerios in Little Italy. To make it properly, the Veal should be pounded thin, (it was), and dipped in a flour salt and pepper mixture and then cooked on each side for no more that one minute. (It wasn't). My veal was way overcooked, leathery, and I made the mistake of taking leftovers home which I will not be eating. I seldom write negative reviews on OpenTable, and this is a well run and expensive restaurant, but anyone who had the dinner that I was presented with last night would not go back. I will not be back.

It's been many years since I've dined here and the first time with my husband and kids. It was so nice to see that Giovanni's incredibly high standards are still there after all the decades. The food, the service, everything was incredible. We had Mike as our server and we highly recommend him. He's very knowledgeable of the menu, very meticulous and professional, and incredibly well-spoken. We will be back again, soon!

Dining here is like no other experience anywhere on Cleveland's Eastside at all actually anywhere in Cleveland. It is fine dining without an attitude. Carol and Pierre run an amazing, magnificent experience, exquisite service, magnificent food. Our server was attentive beyond belief. It's the only fire in town that knows how to pour a decent size drink. I would come here every week if I could.

Great place for a birthday dinner. Really enjoyed the Penne with the vodka sauce and Caesar salad. Wife had scallops that she loved and a mixed green salad. Everything was delicious and the staff were beyond helpful.
