This place was recommended as an alternate to Coventry Inn which had gone down hill with new ownership. This place was just as bad. With throngs of people walking in and a 15 minutes wait to be seated, our expectations of great food and service was built up only to be disappointed. The restaurant was VERY noisy, the service was slow and poor. The omlet tasted like eating leather although the waitress was repeatedly instructed to tell the chef to make it soft and runny. The potato was raw and uncooked. The pancake tasted like made out of store bought mix. Not sure what people like about this place to come in droves. May be just the location close to shopping?

My family and I used to visit this restaurant a few times a year. Especially when we had friends or family in town. What used to be a marvel at some point seemed to become run-of-the-mill, at best. The portions decreased, as well as the level of customer service. However, the prices increased. So, we stopped going. I personally began frequenting the Fairview Park location. Recently, a family member talked me into trying the Woodmere location again. I'm so glad we did! The wait for a table was less than a minute. The menu has changed a little, but still packs a wallop! I ordered the bacon and eggs combo (comes with 3 pancakes) and my family member ordered the meat lovers omelet. This is the biggest, best cooked omelet I have ever seen! And it tasted so good. (I had to taste it!) So big, we needed a container for it. My bacon and egg meal was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The size of the pancakes has greatly decreased (they're about half the size they used to be), but I was pretty full from the other portion of my meal. Good thing, too, because the pancakes left much to be desired. Hard and dry. Original Pancake House Woodmere, please make sure you're serving fresh, hot pancakes; especially since it's literally in the name of the restaurant! The coffee and juice were also good. The service was on point. It was worth the money, but they must do better with the pancakes!

I took 35 people there and everyone absolutely loved their meal. They were very accommodating and efficient, especially our waitress Alicia.

Have been going here for many years about once every 5”-6 weeks. Usually with anywhere from 5 to eight friends. Always sat together always asked and got separate checks. Until a couple of days ago. There were seven of us. They informed us that we could not do separate checks and there would b a 20% gratuity. I explained that we always come here and always had separate checks. He said they have always had a no separate check policy The seven of us left and went to another restaurant. This will means that we probably won’t b going back. I don’t understand this position but you have to wonder about the management team there. (Woodmere store).

Our breakfast bunch ( 3 middle aged ladies) had a great time at the original pancake house. First time visit! Food was delicious. Pancakes of course. Bacon was thick cut and amazing. Portions are large! Service was prompt and friendly. Our server PARKER was absolutely the best! Professional, personable and funny, making us chatty ladies very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. We will return....

When you go for a late breakfast (10:30) on a Friday and there is a half hour wait, you know it must be worth while. And it was. Very good service and excellent food. The food came quickly and was fresh and hot. Well worth the wait.
