I must say the hype is not all that ,the green beans taste like they just open a can and put them in a pot ,no love ,cornbread was thick ,they give you a thick slice of grilled bread , my order was 30 plus dollar ,for a rib plate .I order ribs,mac and cheese, string beans, cornbread, THE CATCH IS EVERYTHING YOU ORDER IS SOLD SEPARATELY.“

The food I ordered came out much quicker than I expected for what I ordered and once I gave it all a try I was very happy with how everything tasted!! “A real Cincy gem. Fast, friendly, and courteous staff. It is often hard to find this style of cuisine in the states. I look forward to my next meal here.The curry laksa was quite good. I also had the nasi lemak with beef rendang (delicious) and BBQ pork and won ton noodles dry style (amazing). The pulled black tea with condensed milk, teh tarik, was very good; brought back childhood memories on the road sides of southeast Asia.This restaurant has become a favorite of mine after a single visit.“

“This place was good. There are plenty of selections for even the pickeist eaters. We went for lunch, but I saw them setting up a kid friendly dinner buffet. Great location to an Asian supermarket for a but of shopping.Parking: Shopp8ng center parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible. Large pathways for wheelchairs.“

“This restaurant came as a suggestion from a coworker, so a few of us on the team stopped by and ate lunch. Service was great. Restaurant clean, inviting, and offered plenty of seating. Food was hot, freshly cooked and good. Kinda a different dining experience in that you walk down a buffet line and place your items of choice in a bowl only to have someone at the end of the line walk up and discuss sauce choices. Upon completion you take to the counter where it's cooked in front of you while you wait. I left feeling full but not like I over ate. Definitely a must try!!“

“If you ask how I want the burger cooked, you got to deliver. I said medium, and I got well done, not burnt or dry though. It was still juicy and seasoned fine. It was just "eh". A $16 burger should make want to come back. Fries were seasoned well and crispy.“

“I always made sure to judge a BBQ joint based on the ribs, burger or pulled pork sandwich. I got 4 bones and mac and cheese with 'make it dirty' for sides. They also gave coleslaw and sweet dip. It was so good, I didn't care that I had it…...“

“We had Sweets and Meats cater our daughter's engagement party and were very pleased with the food and the service. We had the pulled pork and pulled chicken along with macaroni and cheese. All of our items were outstanding and the barbecue sauce was excellent. We would definitely order from Sweets and Meats again!“

“Vegetarian options: Not very good for vegetarians. My wife got the Country Veg plate and it came with a hunk of steak bleeding into the baked potato. The server then told us the baked potatoes are also not vegetarian and rubbed in bacon grease. She had to get Mac and cheese instead.“

“I have been staying at The Phelps for business. I frequently get in late, and quite frankly do not feel like going out. The Phelps Bar is the perfect solution. I have been staying at The Phelps Hotel on and off for roughly a month so far. I have had most of their menu items and have yet to have one that has not been excellent. They recently changed their food and drink menu, so there are many new items to try. They have an outstanding "Signature Drink" Menu. My favorite is the Fig & Rosemary Old Fashioned that is hands down the very best Old Fashioned I have had anywhere, and that includes The Greenbrier Resort. The staff are all amazing and help to make the experience even better. My hat is off to Mark (I think he is the manager), Kat and Tynisa who run the bar, and David the cook. If you find yourself in the Downtown Cincinnati area close to the stadiums, then you really should try The Phelps Bar. You will not be disappointed.“

“What can I say. I’m a foody so I’ll start by saying the portions are very generous for the price. Now if you’re a wing lover definitely get the wings and make sure you get a few flavors. If you get a dinner I recommend the rib tips, cabbage and jalapeño cornbread. Chef Tony and Nicole really will make you feel welcome. Great Barbecue restaurant.“

“The server and food were good, but this place loses a star due to the manager on duty. Seriously corporate needs to review this guys attitude. He was a older larger guy, that was just conceding to just about everyone. I luckily didnt have to deal with him, but just from observation, he talked down to two different parties in the 5 mins I was waiting, questioning if they knew what location they called ahead, telling them they can stay or just leave, etc. I get it was busy and stressful, but if you cant deal with it, then buddy you are in the wrong business.“
