“We drove over an hour to meet friends at Sam B's. They drove almost an hour too. The food, ambience, and service were good. Love the Art Work on the walls! Our waitstaff switched and then switched back so that was a little confusing. Overall we were very satisfied. JH“

“What a great deal, the Prime Rib was on special, 10oz for $20.99. Advertised as 10oz but I'm sure it was closer to 14oz. The side salad that came with it was just HUGE. The portion size of the waffle fries was also huge.Parking: Street parking that was full. Lot behind the restaurant.“

“My favorite is the Chicken Cabernet salad. Went there this week on Saturday. Unfortunately the salad was not as good as it usually is. Not sure what was missing. For the price of the salad it should always be perfect.“

“Stopped at El Zarape Bowling Green (OH) during our trek to Detroit, MI and it was an unexpectedly delicious decision. The environment is bright, lively and welcoming. The menu is extensive and making a selection proved to be challenging. It all looked tempting and the smells wafting out of the kitchen made our mouths water. More authentic Mexican dishes than expected and prepared with fresh ingredients that were served by a friendly staff.Our meal selections were a Carnitas Dinner ($15), Enchiladas Suizas ($14) and two soft drinks. Before a generous tip, our bill cashed out at $38.12. The carnitas was ridiculously tender and melted in the mouth. Sides of rice, beans and salad were generously sized and the flour tortillas were hot and fresh. Enchiladas were fork tender and flavored perfectly. Sides included rice and beans. The cheese-based enchiladas were topped with carnitas morsels and covered in more cheese and salsa verde. Delicious! My dining partner said it was too much cheese. Once I got done laughing at him, I told him “there is no such thing as too much cheese.”Whether your searching for a common taste of Mexico or something more authentic, we highly recommend a stop at El Zarape!“

“Stopped by for dinner after the solar eclipse in April 2024. The place was packed, overwhelmed by the eclipse crowd, but once we were able to get a seat the few employees that were working made sure we were well taken care of. The pizza and cheese bread was some of the best I've had.“

“Family of 5 adults and a 6 year old went here before the BGSU hockey on Saturday. This was the first time for 3 of us. There is a large menu to choose from and you order from the counter. 5 of us got different type of burgers and 1 got an Italian sub. We all loved our food! The sides were excellent. We got their chips, cheese curds,and fries. The cheese curds and fries were so crispy and very tasty. The food came very quickly. I regret not taking any food pictures. The group would definitely go here again.“

“Great little place, love their chicken kebab and garlic sauce personally. I've missed chicken tawook ever since I moved out of the Dearborn area. They have dairy free options for those that need it, and a decent selection of vegetarian stuff.“
