We went for a late lunch at around 2 pm. We got nachos for an appetizer. They were really good. He got a cheeseburger that was $12 and came with no fries, and I got a taco salad, also $12.The cheeseburger was small, and the meat in my taco salad was so hot (without warning) that my nose was running. The greens in my salad were stringy, long, and hard to eat. It could have used some Romain or iceberg in the mix.There's a TV in the bar that advertises the food and events, but what I got looked nothing like the picture they showed of their taco salad. That influenced my decision to get the taco salad, so I was disappointed when my salad came out with a few tortilla chips around the bowl instead of a taco shell bowl. The service was great. We spent $60 with a tip and drank no alcohol. The food was Disappointing.

Pretty typical lake restaurant. VERY loud, lots of what appear to be regulars in the bar seats. A small menu, on the more expensive side, with choices even further limited on their “Winter” menu. Small portion sizes, with hit-or-miss results. The sweet potato fries, fried shrimp, onion straws, and burger were all pretty tasty, while the crab rangoon nachos… weren’t. If there was any crab on them, it was pretty well hidden, both visually and taste-wise.Wait staff is AWESOME, managing an entire restaurant swiftly and efficiently, while staying friendly the entire time.And Thursday night music trivia is fantastic!

We dropped by on Sunday. We found the place jumping! Loud live music. We ordered food and drinks. Service was dastardly and friendly. Burgers were very good.

The only concern I have is the mayo that they give you in the condiment caddy should be refrigerated. It's made with raw eggs. I usually put mayo on my burger but didn't want to get sick. So I ate it without.
Waiter made the experience! He was so friendly and accommodating. Outside area was nice to sit and drink a beer with friends. Bathrooms are teeeeny tiny, but they work?♀️?

This is a bitter sweet review as I have always liked the boatyard. It's a small place, but the outdoor patio setup makes up for it, especially waterfront. I come here for the margaritas, one of the best on the lake. They normally have live music, and recently added food. This is where is goes a bit sour for me. I tried a burger and fries, which are extra btw. Burger was just okay, standard flavor nothing impressive. The fries were raw the first round. Mushy, oily, and cold/frozen in the middle. I told the server who went back and retrieved another order. The second round was cooked, but my appetite had left when the cold fry was introduced. Great place for music, brew and lake views. I'll eat before going next time.
