We’ve been coming to Nelly’s for years, but the prices continue to go up while the quality goes down. The chicken is often dry and the side portions are small.The thing that caused me to write this review is the rude Italian waitress who works there. I have read other reviews complaining about her, so I won’t bore you with the details. I will just say that she threw a pen at me to sign my guest check. She has always been a pain in the you-know-what due to her eternal bad mood and unfriendly nature. I wrote two emails to the owner, but he did not respond.I have decided to not return to Nelly’s, nor will I continue recommending it to my Latino and American friends.

The food is mid at best and they are so unbelievably slow. I've worked in a kitchen literally making most of these same dishes. There's really not much of an excuse for toastones and an empanada to take 45+ minutes.

The chicken wings, whoa. IF able, eat them in restaurant.IF you get them to go, ASK to have the sauce on the side.WHEN you get them, OPEN the lidWhy? The sauce is so killer BUT when it combines with the steam on the car ride you lose the texture, it’s a soggy wing that tastes AMAZING.It isn’t their fault, like a RB after a handoff, it’s on you to not fumble — letting this steam and sauce soften the wing is on you, that’s your fumble.The rest of the menu is good, too, but it’s wings for me >84.5% of the time.
