I don't usually write reviews, and I'm sure of all reviews mine doesn't make too much difference - but I could not let this one go without saying how truly amazing this was. My server Sarah (apologies if not spelled correctly) was absolutely amazing - gave me a free lil palette cleanser of the passion fruit sorbet (freaking amazing). You go in expecting to pay a good bill, but honestly it was SUPER reasonable for the amount of food I got, the service, food quality, and the environment.I felt super comfortable eating alone here, too, so bonus points for that.Also - the food is incredible. My taste buds were so jazzed about it. If I could recreate the sauce that came with the veal short rib, I'd put it on everything haha.Anyway, kudos to the chef, and kudos to my amazing waitress Sarah. Would come back to Cincinatti for this restaurant ❤️

Alfio’s Buon Cibo delivers an unparalleled taste of Argentina, reminiscent of our travels there. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, from perfectly crispy empanadas to succulent grilled meats. Food was amazing and the staff delivered a world class experience. Hands down the best restaurant my wife and I have enjoyed since Argentina. Five stars!
We have been trying to dine in person for years, a series of unfortunate events has prevented this. It was worth the wait! Our server Justin was great; on point food descriptions, walking us through the menu, keeping everything timely, overall a pro. Kyle was our greet and he had fantastic energy. Cole was extremely knowledgeable about the wine list, and I'm sure much more. Mgmt. was visible and touched our table too. Seriously, the food was perfect. We'll be back, cheers!

If you’re looking for a special place to take your wife to for your anniversary this is the place. I suggest you get the Ravioli. Their staff is friendly and super helpful as I’m not very familiar in the wine area, they will lead you toward a wine that will pair perfect with your meal. 10/10

TLDR: We got played.I will start this review off by saying that as a former frequent patron, Alfio’s has great food and great atmosphere. The 1-star, however, is for lack of professionalism and extremely poor customer service.Alfio’s held a Valentine’s Day giveaway contest (screen shot attached) to which I worked really hard to make my entry (a reel featuring date night at Alfio’s). In short, they never followed up, never did what they said they’d do.I sent them a very polite, private DM asking if I’d maybe missed the announcement (which I know I didn’t because I’d been checking back frequently to see who won). Next thing I know, their IG post has been deleted.It doesn’t even matter to me that I did not win, it’s the fact that they didn’t even follow up on it which makes it seem like they just wanted free marketing AND to boost their sales during Valentine’s Day week since one of the criteria of the giveaway was that you had to visit. There are multiple layers to this but those are the biggest.To not even acknowledge my message and then delete your giveaway post on Instagram because I messaged you? (it’s still on their Facebook, by the way, which it looks like they forgot to delete). Screen shot attached.That’s really scummy and unprofessional, bad business.We’ve been loyal, frequent patrons of Alfio’s for quite some time now but this honestly really rubs us the wrong way. We will be taking our date nights elsewhere.

First time visiting this place, and it did not disappoint. It was our wedding anniversary, and they made sure to add to the occasion. We ordered the brussel sprouts and smoked caesar salad to start. Our entrees were the filet and the short rib. For dessert, we shared the chocolate moda antica cake. They gave us a free slice of another chocolate cake for our anniversary. Everything was not only excellent, it was memorable. Our server Navarre provided some of the best service we've ever had. He even provided us with a list of palces to go, as we are not from Cincy.
Alfio’s Buon Cibo is our go to restaurant. Any time we are asked for a recommendation, it’s Alfio’s. The food is consistently delicious, the service always wows and the atmosphere is engaging.Vegetarian options: Very knowledgeable wait staff.Dietary restrictions: Alfio’s kitchen is always willing to work around dietary restrictions, just ask! In advance if possible.Parking: Location right on Hyde Park Square, paid parking spaces.
Wow. What an overall fantastic dining experience. We started with the empanadas and they were delicious. We then had the short rib gnocchi and chicken parmigiana and both were perfection. Our server was attentive and and friendly. Excellent service and food.

Great food, service, atmosphere, everything was top notch. I had the gnocchi and shrimp which was delicious and a generous portion. Appetizers were very good, dishes like brussel sprouts, tomatoes and mozzarella. Our server was both knowledgeable and personable and she enhanced our experience. Several people had the duo pasta dishes and those got good reviews. Nice selection of beer (Maine Beer) and wine, you can also see the fancy drink (old fashion I think) with fresh burnt orange around the rim.Parking: Need to meter feed during dinner.Kid-friendliness: Probably not a great place for kids.

Welcoming staff and delicious food. We enjoyed our evening. Service was excellent except for the silverware wasn't always available for all members of our party. Sometimes you want to share a taste of your salad with someone who didn't order salad. But they had no silverware to use because the silverware had been removed after the appetizer was finished. Only silverware was given to persons who ordered salad. Also they had no silverware (knives) to use to butter the bread, even, not even a butter knife with the bread and butter. Otherwise everything was quite delicious and elegant. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly, seemingly very genuinely happy and hospitable!
