Asked to add bacon on both sandwiches. Didn't receive it on either sandwich. Also asked for no pickles and mustard but still had both items on the sandwich. I feel like these employees dont even care to follow direction of any sort. I read the reviews but still gave this place a chance. My mistake.

Delicious sandwiches and deli salads at normal prices. The red drink tastes like old school koolaid. Service was super friendly.

I waited ten minutes in line to be told there was no Rueben meat. It would have been nice to have a sign on the door saying this so I didn't waste time in line. This was right at noon, I find it hard to believe they were already sold out for the day.

Food was ok but who puts mayo on an Italian sandwich???

It's decent. The employees were nice to me. But the only menu item I'd recommend is the Manhattan Italian. Some of the other sandwiches, I feel, are not worth the money -- due to being short on the meat or just too small. It seems like some of the employees are not properly trained as to how to make the standard sandwiches. It's not very crowded so you probably won't have to wait long for your food. But after trying them ~5 times, I wouldn't eat there again, the most of the sandwiches just aren't great, and aren't worth the price.

First time visiting... we asked about the lunch specials. It was 11:29AM. Carla proceeds to tell us that we COULDN'T order until the DIGITAL MENU (middle screen) showed 11AM. It was past 11AM, so we were very confused. An employee tried to tell her it was past 11, but she was not listening to anyone since the screen had not changed from breakfast yet. She rudely told us that we could NOT order until it was 11AM and showed the lunch specials... A minute later, she checked the time and realized it was PAST 11AM, but never apologized to us. We ordered food (not any of the lunch specials) with the other employee, who was very pleasant to talk to. We sat down and waited. A short time later, we hear Carla. She said, "are ya'll coming to get your food up here?". We didn't hear her if she called for us and we had never ate there before. She was absolutely rude. The food was good, but we won't be GOING BACK due to poor customer service and zero hospitality.

It makes me a little sad to post this review because I was really rooting for this place. But...Coworker and I ordered delivery downtown. Hers was just okay, but mine was a disaster. Ordered the Mid-Town, toasted, no tomato, with the upcharge for Chicken Noodle soup, and another upcharge for a side of potato salad. Also ordered an iced tea.It arrived quickly which was awesome! But I didn't get my drink or side of potato salad. No biggie, it happens. However, my sandwich wasn't toasted and was very cold, which wasn't appetizing to have a cold chicken breast, and tomatoes were on the sandwich. Fine, not what I expected, I'm hungry, whatever, take the tomatoes off, I'll heat the chicken breast up in the office microwave, and at least I have my soup. Opened it to stir and realized it was cold. Cold refrigerated soup, as if it had been taken out of the walk-in fridge from yesterday's leftovers and put right into a container, no heating whatsoever. It was a bit shocking really, and obviously not food-safe, so I didn't eat it, and my appetite was immediately squashed so didn't eat the cold sandwich either. $18+ for a meal that was inedible.I don't enjoy leaving this kind of review for a downtown restaurant I was so happy to welcome. But, serving fridge-cold chicken soup just isn't safe from a food safety standpoint and I don't understand how it even happened. Didn't get my drink or my extra paid-for side and my sandwich was cold, had tomatoes, wasn't toasted. I'm concerned that the staff isn't reading the tickets properly for certain, but the cold soup is especially problematic from a safety standpoint and our office won't be ordering again. It's a real shame.Management has some work to do here. I hope they won't be overly defensive as in prior responses to bad reviews and will instead listen to their customers and work to train staff properly. And please, heat your soup to meet health standards. It's honestly scary that you allowed this to happen.I've attached my ticket showing all the items missed, as well (since I've read in other reviews that it's a DoorDash problem with the tickets). Pretty bad! But not nearly as bad as cold, unsafe soup.

This is a great spot for a sandwich. I’ve been trying all the sandwich spots in the area and Anderson’s is one of the best. Plus, Carla is a hospitable angel. Treated me and my dad like family.

Very very friendly, black owned business. Treated us extremely well. Pricey but normal for a city deli and the quality was very good. Charged for water but not for a refill which is a must considering the lemonade is $3. All in all would recommend. Nice ambiance and smiling owner. Parking was not too difficult on a Wednesday afternoon.
