It's a dive, but in all the best ways. Food is good, always crowded, and Molly Wellerman tells stories and serves her signature drinks almost one night every week. It's a blast!

I go here every year prior to the Cincinnati St Patrick’s Day Parade which is the Saturday before St Patrick’s day each year.Parking: The parking is outrageously expensive if you are there only 4-5 hours. It’s all the same whether you stay a couple of hours or 24 hours. Parking costs as much as a few drinks or an entire meal.

What a wonderful gem! It just looks like it's all bar when you first walk in, but keep going and hang a left about halfway along and you come to a bigger dining room and a beautiful little open internal courtyard. There's a small covered stage and they almost always have live music, which can be a little loud to talk over, but it's a really nice vibe overall. The food was fantastic - we shared the poutine and had a salad, fried green BLT, and the truffle brie chicken, and everyone enjoyed everything. Parking is just what you can find on the street - there's a paid lot across the street - I ended up in a cheaper one on the next block down, while my friends parked on a side street in the other direction.

Wow- not your typical looking bar in regards to food and seating. Deceptively larger than what one would presume from looking from the storefront. Everyone was extremely friendly. The menu had a lot variety to it. The whole meal was delicious from start to finish to start again ( there was live music so we ordered appetizers at the end ). Found out as well that it is the oldest bar in Cincinnati

I have been a very long-term fan of Arnold's. Came here tonight for the music and had a good time, but I was disappointed in 2 respects: Our waitress was either very new and very undertrained, or had other duties detracting her from her job, but she failed on several occasions to do the job professionally. The waitress at the other tables seem to be on top of everything so I hope this was an anomaly. The hamburger anf fries were good as expected but the fish and chips were very disappointing, 2 squawny little pieces where the bread to meat ratio was fifty-fifty and was overcooked.

I don't know what we did to offend, but all I can think is that we didn't have a reservation. We just showed up unannounced to have a St Pattys Day meal and support the band that was there. It looks like a really fun place. An annoyed and unsmiling hostess begrudgingly sat us at a cute little wrought iron table with a view of the band. The drink menu had some fun cocktails but our waitress was not interested in answering any questions. I boldly asked if the brunch menu we were provided was the only food they were serving. I thought maybe at 7pm brunch would be over, my bad. My Mom and daughter started with a soft drink and I just got a water. these were served in 10 oz plastic cups, while all the other tables, even the ones with children, were given actual glassware. Refills we're not offered, not even for the water. It was just weird. But the crowd was fun, the food was good and the music was hopping so we enjoyed that. We won't go back without a reservation that's for sure.

My concern after having a great meal and service at Arnold's is that they include a fee for the kitchen staff, which the salary for kitchen staff is the responsibility of the owner. I alway tip the servers 20% but not my responsibility to tip kitchen staff, the cleaning staff, it is the responsibility of the Restaurant Owner.

This was our first time as we are new to Cincinnati. We made a reservation for two, fish fry Friday evening. When we arrived we were seated at a table the size of a postage stamp in between two other two-tops. I'm not exaggerating when I say if I stretched out my arms I could have put them around the people sitting to my right and my left. We asked to sit at an empty three-top (there were three empty tables) near the musicians area. The waitress and another employee were very polite but they refused to reseat us. They said it was because we were a party of two, and those tables were reserved for parties of three. Rather than enduring a miserable experience, paying for food that we would have choked down, in an uncomfortable space wedged between two other tables, we elected to leave. We found another restaurant that actually valued our experience more than their profit margins.

We had a large party and Arnold's accommodated us - very, very well. The food was awesome, drinks were timely, and we had a great time. I can't thank them enough for their time and service.
