First time for us. Beth did a great job with our party of 8. Food was delicious. We will be back. I hope they open for inside dining, it's time.

The food is bomb however the bartender yelled as us and we waited well over an hour for our food. Service is awful

Pre-COVID this was a favorite of ours. I've chosen this place for birthday celebrations the last few years. This year was another birthday trip, but at this time they are only doing dinning on the patio and the food quality was noticeably different.Their signature dish as far as I'm concerned is their armadillo. When it arrived at the table we remarked how there was so little shrimp and so much lettuce. Literally 90% of the filling was lettuce.Drink prices are a lot higher as well. We enjoyed this place so much pre Covid that we might try it again once they are fully open. In the meantime we're not going back.

The food and service were good, not great. The margaritas for the price ($40.00 for 22oz) should have been better or less expensive. We will not be back because of the lack of value. I would like to retire and Casa Figueroa's pricing will prevent me from doing so. Stay away unless you are rich, collected an inheritance, or won the lottery.

Casa Fig take out has been the bright spot in this pandemic. I order online and get the armadillo crunch and jalapeño margarita. It's always absolutely delicious. It's easy to order and curbside pickup. I have gotten it around 10 times since Marchl and won't stop.

Really nice looking restaurant, and friendly staff. I would definitely go back for drinks. They didn't charge me for the food I didn't like. We had the calamari, cod fish taco, taco salad, and the caesar salad. The calamari didn't have much in the way of flavor, and was rather oily. Like they tried to cook it in lukewarm oil.The cod fish taco had no flavor whatsoever. The taco salad was probably the best thing we ordered. I had to add a lot of salt. Only provided a thimble of salsa. The ceaser salad with grilled shrimp. The toppings tasted great. They cooked the romaine lettuce for some reason.I don't know what they were trying to do here... Low flavor. Awful textures. The salt grinder was next to impossible to get anything out of it.Really great people though. I'm sure they'll improve. It's all a great idea.

Would not recommend. Super expensive. 7 and 8 dollars for 2 tacos that weren't even the size of a dollar bill. Missing items: avocado creme, side veggies, chorizo (that cost 2 bucks extra bucks) in the queso, pineapple salsa. Asked for no cilantro on 3 of 4 items. It was on everything except the dip. Out of menu items and ordering was more complicated than it needed to be. But I think they were training someone to take orders so, not a big deal. Pros: the short rib taco was yummy as was the guac when it didn't contain cilantro.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the carelessness of the restaurant to not make sure their online portal was not deactivated when they were not open. Especially in our current climate, where restaurants are only open limited hours and most of the time for carry-out only, it is imperative that you would double and triple check this when there is a holiday weekend coming up that would disrupt this activity. I was there for my birthday in the winter, but after last night, ordering dinner when the restaurant appeared to not be open (and I was not the only one) and sitting in the parking lot calling the restaurant for an hour waiting for pickup, I won't be back.

Get the guac, get the armadillo with steak (and another one with shrimp), get a pitcher of marg. Put all that inside your face. Make a new friend. Do it again.

The margaritas are fantastic! This is one of our favorite places to go with friends and a fun night out. I definitely recommend the Armadillo Crunch entree.

Friday evening, no major plans, decided to go out for dinner. Selected Casa Figuero from our stack of Cincinnati Foodie Cards. (sort of like the old entertainment book, but a deck of cards..but, I digress) We arrived around 7pm and there was a short wait, about 20 mins. Two folks behind the bar were quite busy, but friendly and attentive all the same. My wife tried one of their standard margaritas. I opted for the Cherry bomb. It's their margarita mix with Morello Cherry, and Jalapeno peppers.Sweet & spicy is how it's described. And it fits well. Nice sweet margarita taste followed by a slight ting of an after-burn. When we go back, definitely getting another! Also got a basket of chips and some salsa. Chips were not too salty and had a nice snap to them as well as a nice taste. Salsa is on the sweet side. Not overly sweet, and not spicy. Something about it, though, was really enjoyable. Can't quite put the finger on it, but we ate the whole small bowlful of it. Called to our table, we got some water and had already seen the menus so ordered pretty quick.I ordered the Armadillo Crunch. I got the barbacoa. It comes with Organic red leaf, flour tortilla, corn tostado, Betty's cheese blend, pico, garlic shallot aioli with a side of rice and beans. This came out and was a LOT BIGGER than I had imagined (picture doesn't quite do it justice), loaded with barbacoa and then grilled. It was a bit messy, so I did not try to eat it by holding it. I usually am able to eat whatever portion is put in front of me, but I only finished half. Also, I am not a big black bean fan, but, there was a really sweet flavor with theirs, sort of like a really good mole' sauce mixed in with it. Ate it all. My wife was surprised at that! My wife had ordered two tacos, one soft shell with Cauliflower, rice flour tempura, chimichurri and carrots. The second was a hard taco with barbacoa. She ate both along with her side of beans and rice. And she usually leaves some to take home, that means GOOD STUFF! There is also seating outside and a fire pit with an outside bar. The fire put was going, but due to snow and the cold temperature, it was not open for seating. We will be back when the warmer weather gets here! Short wait, great food, not too noisy, great food (yeh, two times!), great drinks! We'll be back!

Casa Figueroa not only has incredible Mexican food, but such a fun vibe!! It's perfect for a date night. Margaritas are extremely fresh (& strong). Definitely one of the best I've ever had. Must start with queso and guacamole! If you are deciding between one of the two, I would definitely choose guacamole. HIGHLY recommend their envelope crunch as a meal. Its a fairly large portion and is paired with black beans and rice. I typically share it with someone else because it is so filling/large. I've had the steak and chicken, but prefer steak by a land slide. I wish I would've taken a picture, but I was too excited to eat it that I forgot ‍

I give this place a three out of five largely for the inconsistency. I've been a couple times, and some food items are great while others are subpar. The guacamole and spicy margarita--delicious. The chicken taco and beans and rice--bland and gross. They charge for chips and salsa. Give me a break. The decor is interesting as bright, and I would like to try the patio in the summer. Lastly, it's pricey considering the quality of food.

Food and ambiance are 5 star. The kitchen and bar are often slow and not always at the same pace. I've been multiple times with variable waits. Overall recommend especially in summer with outdoor seating.
