We had a gift certificate given to us for Christmas a couple of years ago that we finally got to use. The pros: It was a really good time having dinner on the train, being entertained and hearing some history. The staff was awesome and really went above and beyond. After dinner they highly recommended to explore the train, which we did. It was quite a ride back holding on as we were walking, but it made for some good laughs. Several groups of people dressed up forties style which was very cool. I would suggest if you have a special occasion to book well in advance if you can. Some of the cons: Also I felt that the price was a little high for what you got. Drinks were about average price these days, $12 a piece and tip added another $50. Also they sat us with another couple, which I wasn't a fan of, but oh well. Another thing, don't be expecting beautiful scenery on this ride. It was a lot of graffiti on the back side of buildings and shopping centers. Lol.

I was disappointed in this experience to be honest. I was very excited to go but the food was just ok, the service was very slow, and the view was very lacking - it was mostly overgrown shrubbery, tunnels with graffiti, and construction areas. There were a lot of little touches that I think they could've done to add to the experience - like fo gas lighting to match the 40's/50's theme, blinds to match that era, and instead of using plastic cups for drinks have glasses that went along with the theme as well. I also wish they would've listed online that the gluten free dessert was just fruit, a little disappointed by that. For the price it wasn't a good value in my opinion.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience!! My fiancé loves trains so I saw this experience on tiktok and thought this might be a great valentine’s day present and my goodness what’s I right!! This was a whole beautiful experience from the second you park your car! We were in the silver sword car and the waiters were fantastic. Brett was so fun as well he came up to our table and had us all laughing multiple times and answered all our questions, he was a joy. The food was fantastic, the sights especially when you get closer to the river was beautiful, the entertainment was phenomenal, overall we had such a wonderful experience. (And did I mention you get to toot the horn on the train??) We would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to try something new and fun!! ?

Food, Atmosphere and Nostalgia were divine. Like most reviews can't say much for the view or I would have given 5 stars.

Ordered medium rare steak. Was told I ordered it medium well and it was too late to change because they made to order. When I showed my email confirmation stating I ordered medium rare I was told they would do what they could. It came out medium well, which to me is not appetizing. Especially given the cost of the dinner.

This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time! Great food, great atmosphere, great service!! I had the prime rib and it was fantastic. The sides were awesome too! My date had the salmon and loved it! Prices for drinks were reasonable and cheaper than expected. The singers were amazing and the conductor was incredible. We were in the silver sword car and it was the best! I cannot wait to do this again. Money well spent!!!

The dinner train is awesome! It has a 1949 theme, and a dress code. The minimum is business casual, but a lot of people either dress up or dress forties-style. The service is excellent, and everyone is extremely accomodating. The train runs from Paddock Road down to the Ohio River and back, with a sprinkling of history lessons along the way. The food is spectacular. 12/10, will go again.

Underwhelming experience. While the service was good and the staff was friendly, the outside view of the train ride was awful. The view was mostly a mix of dead weeds and trees. The food was also average at best, mostly being dry.

I planned this as a date night for my husband and I. We had the absolute best time traveling back in time by train. The waitress was so nice and enjoyed what she was doing. The drinks from the bar were strong which was great! The music on the train was relaxing and mimicked the 1940s era. We dined like kings and queens as the food was superb. My husband had the prime rib medium rare, with chocolate pecan pie for dessert and I had the salmon with the NY style cheese cake. The sides were fantastic and we loved the green beans. The lady singers were amazing and greeted you on the train and then performed in the entertainment car after dinner. The ride was dark so besides city lights and the reflection from the river you couldn't see much but that was totally fine with us. We can't wait to go again!

We had a good time because this was our first time on it. I am good for another decade. We went in December. There were no leaves and no snow. It was dark but outside you could see shopping places, gas stations, buildings, train yards and a little of the Ohio river. The end of the loop is at Montgomery Inn Boathouse and then the train reverses course. Even if this was July you would have seen mostly bamboo and honeysuckle. The main landmark was a carving in the wall (LOL). There was a singing Trio - The Queen City Sisters singing 1940 or 1950 tunes. You could listen to them perform in the last train car after dinner. They made rounds through all the rail cars but only sang 1 song in ours and I had to turn around to just see the backs of them. We were at the last table. It cost $113+ per person (including tax). For that you got a 3 hour train ride, a meal and specialty drinks for $10 each. Bottles of wine were expensive. I remember a Beringer Moscato bottle was $48 and probably is under $10 in the store. Iced tea and water was included. We sat in the original New York car. It was tight but reasonably comfortable. Meals consisted of an appetizer plate (grapes, crackers, peanut like spread and cold cuts like salami - couldn't place it), Salad, Prime Rib or Salmon and Cheesecake or Pecan Pie for dessert. Prime Rib was under cooked by 1 level. My medium rare was rare and a seat mate was medium instead of medium-wellAfter dinner (behind the sisters group) you could pull the train whistle and the conductor would take your picture or video. This was cool. If you wanted a special pin it was $5. Some people dressed up in period clothing. Please note that tables are 2 and 4. We had 3 so they placed a single by us. This turned out fine since she was very nice. They told us since we didn't buy the extra seat they paired us with someone. I saw several 4 tops with only 2 people. They only have a few 2 tops so if you are a couple you could be sharing a 4 top. Service was pretty good. I did get water spilled on me by the waiter overflowing a glass at a nearby table. The tickets don't include tips so expect to leave a tip.
