Half of the group's food was excellent (Eggplant and Cacio Pepe dishes) but the rest of the food (multiple salads, meatballs and fish) were unbalanced or lacking flavor / texture challenges. The place is beautiful and the menu has a lot to offer so we will give it another try.

It was absolutely wonderful! We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the entire staff made her feel so special! Austin knows his wine and the pairings were perfect! Food was amazing from appetizers to main courses to desserts! We've been there numerous times and will continue to go back! Love this place!

First time dining. We ate at the bar and Cory and Dan we very attentive and provided great service. The food was wonderful and pace was great for a quick bit before a movie. The olive cake was wonderful but could have been outstanding if served room temp

The staff was incredible. Housed in the former Teller's restaurant location, it has been beautifully remodeled keeping the old bank vault. Bright open and airy, a wonderful atmosphere to eat some amazing food!

Loved the tableside pasta experience. The burrata was amazing, as well as the gnocchi. Everything was delicious and not too rich/filling that you're in an Italian coma afterwards, which was great.

Only a few gluten free options, but the meal was fantastic! Terts was an excellent waiter, he took care of us and offered GF pasta that didn't appear on the menu! We will definitely visit again!

Really enjoyed our evening out at Al Posto. We ordered a variety of items highly rated from prior reviews, tomato and sourdough with balsamic vinaigrette salad was my fav, focaccia , cacio de Pepe, meatballs, scallops, tiramisu and the cannoli. I hand the Chardonnay and my husband had Old Fashion. I would recommend and return.

Al-Posto is a great spot! My only negative feedback is that the food seemed a little bland. My guest and I tried each other's dishes and were equally unimpressed. We also ordered quite a bit of food so had a wide selection to explore. I experienced the same last time I visited, but didn't mention it because I wanted to give it another shot with different dishes. I do LOVE the service and ambiance! Great staff and management!

We had our first, but definitely not our last, meal at Al Posto last night. The entire experience was surprising and delightful, apart from being seated after our reservation time. We enjoyed a well-crafted cocktail at the bar, courtesy of Dan, an expert mixologist. At our table, we ordered funghi fritti, which took us straight back to Italy. For our mains, we ordered the gnocchi and the spaghetti allo spoglio, both superb. The gnocchi were among the lightest we've ever tried, and the allo spoglio really couldn't have been done better. I wouldn't say that pasta dishes in the mid-$20's are a bargain, but for a special occasion, it was well worth the expense. We didn't try any selection from the dessert; we will save that for our next visit, hopefully soon.

Trents (I'm so sorry idk how to spell their name!) did so well. The food was great and the wine our waiter suggested was even better. I believe it was the Enes white wine. Will be returning! Thanks for a great night!

This was our first time at the restaurant. We were very excited as we have heard good things about the restaurant. The ambiance and decor was very nice and loved the vibe, however we went out to dinner to eat and boy were we disappointed. We got pretty basic foods, including arancini, burrata, spaghetti and meatballs, and scallops. The arancini was so hard it was as if you may break a tooth. The burrata had zero flavor even though it said there was supposed to be all these flavors. Spaghetti and meatballs I have no idea how you mess this up but wow they were the most disgusting thing my husband and I have ever had. I truly have no idea what they were even made of. It says ragu but I feel as though it was chicken, or veal, or something else. The noodles were fine. We ordered the scallops which were probably the best thing however the temperature of the food including scallops made me concerned because it was cold. Who wants to eat cold fish and cold spaghetti and meatballs. All in all we were very disappointed, and unclear of how the reviews are so good.

Loved this restaurant! The arancini were crispy on the outside, nice amount of cheese and delicious sauce. The branzino was grilled to perfection. I just wish I had more of that fantastic gremolata. My husband loved the "al dente" spaghetti alla scoglio. We are going back to try other dishes, mainly the cacio e pepe, which comes in a parmigiano wheel...wow. Also, it is located in a beautifully redecorated old bank on Erie Avenue.

We really enjoyed our experience at Al posto. Dan was great so attentive and gave us some great recommendations for food. Food was very good and we certainly plan on returning soon.

The Bad: 8:30 reservation turned into a seating at 9pm. I just don't find that acceptable. The Good: service was great. Male bartender Adam? was very very good - from making drinks to carrying conversation. Server (when we were finally seated) was very good also. Food was very tasty. The front of the house operation's need to address the tardiness that occurred last night. $700 can be spent elsewhere!

Love the food. We were seated on the second floor. Very hard to hear my wife. There was a large group close by with one or two loud folks. Need some sound dampening. We could have used some help with wine selection. Server was hard to hear. We live in Hyde Park and will definitely be back.
