While visiting my daughter & son-in-law in Cincinnati (from San Diego), they took me to one of their favorite places, Esoteric. It was in the middle of the day on a rainy Friday. It was more of an order and take out kinda day. However, we ate in the restaurant. I ordered the cauliflower, kimchi and a Tequila Tango. The cauliflower was tasty, light and delicious. The kimchi had that little "kick" (spicy) but not too much. The ambience was casual and welcoming. I was here during a previous visit, in the evening and it had a larger crowd I but did not eat food. I would highly recommend this place.

Cool vibe jn this spacious bar/hangout. I tried a brand new beverage, Bourbon Blossom, bourbon, honey syrup & lemon. Delicious! Bartenders are friendly. Modern furnishings and comfortable. On street parking.

Friendly, cool, good food and very good beer.

Very quiet atmosphere when I went but there is usually a live band on certain days and packed.

This is a solid spot for Thursday night trivia that always seems to get a good turnout. Parking is rough--the lot under construction behind the building could use some signs. It would also be helpful to have more visibility into the non-beer options offered--they have a (much appreciated!) cocktail and wine list but it's not posted anywhere at the bar so it can hold up the line when ordering.

I love this place. Great beer and a very trendy sort of ambience with a comfy neighborhood feel. Food is available on site - Decibel - known for their great chicken. It's a great spot for meet ups large and small. Fireside Pizza is about a block away if you want to enjoy both. Go!

Stopped by on a Sunday early afternoon to try a flight of brews. There are four choices to be made for this and I'll admit it took a little time as the offerings all sounded enticing. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is part urban and part warm wood feeling. Oh, and the brews- all that we sampled were excellent.

Really good beer in a cool space, amazing location. Decibel chicken (next door/Built into Esoteric) is really good too.The beers I had were great and I want to try many more

Ok, parking sucks big hairy sweaty...tennis balls. Sorry I had to get that out of the way and now I can enjoy my beer! Esoteric Brewing is brewery visit #257 for me. Well I did include a couple of distilleries but it's all good.As mentioned parking is tough as of this writing but a sign inside said a parking structure behind the building is under construction. EB has a BIG taproom. Long bar with seating as well as plenty of table seating in a couple of rooms.A flight of five was in order along with some food, which I will get back to in a moment.Paraiso Mexican lager is a nice one. I like a touch more sweetness in mine but this was still quite good. The Oktoberfest was very true to style. I'm used to many places serving up a beer much more in an amber style as a festbier, which isn't a bad thing but just isn't true to style. Very good beer. A Dunkel is one of my favorite beer styles. I was introduced to a good Dunkel at Gordon Biersch many years ago and it has stuck with me. Nice. Malty, low bitterness. Just a good Dunkel. The Dahlia Brown I ordered in honor of SWPFTD as she loves brown and red ales. This fit best as a British brown IMHO and was good. Malty with a bit of sweetness.Last up was Odyessy NE IPA as I had to put at least one IPA on the board. Citrus, grapefruit, smooth hop flavor and aroma. A really nice IPA!The brewery has food in the form of Decibel, a Korean style chicken stand. I went with Bulgogi egg rolls and garlic soy chicken tenders. All were really good. I would have revisited the Dunkel with a pint but I'm only in town until tomorrow and have another brewery I want to visit. EB is solid though! If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! yelp.com/collection/-8is… and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

Wanted to try this unique place for the first time. Bar tender kicked us out an hour before closing because they wanted to close early.

A beautiful spot with great bartenders and the owners are super friendly. Great atmosphere with a walk up window for food orders from Decibel Korean Chicken. One can purchase beer to go as well. It is great! Lots of events and karaoke on Wednesdays. Lots of fun.

Went on a karaoke night, and the crowd that was there was a blast. Try the Dahlia if you like dark beer, it was super good. Tip your bartender! ?

If you haven’t been to Esoteric in downtown Cincinnati on E McMillan Street, you NEED to! It’s a BEAUTIFUL brewery that’s so spacious, and has a very elegant feel filled with comfortable sofas. And they recently got food now: Korean fried chicken from the restaurant next door called Decibel! Our favorite beers (bc we like more sweet lol) 1️⃣ Lemon Shandy and 2️⃣ (slightly less sweet) HeffeweisenBut if you enjoy beer in general you’ll love this place! Turns out they started making cocktails too!I literally wanna chill here with my pink up bobbing my head to the music they play LOL! This place is a hidden gem! ?
