The 5 star "Food" rating is mostly for the coffee. Pastries and cookies are good, but I might have given them only 4 stars if I wasn't paring them with excellent La Terza coffee. Have not yet tried the entrees.Atmosphere seems very child-friendly (not relevant for me, but you notice when you step in the door) 2 or 3 play areas, with seating suitable for parents nearby and facing area. Any children there while I visited were interested enough in the play activities to be well behaved.Atmosphere of this location under the previous management was more oriented to art and music, a slight loss if I were coming here alone.Kid-friendliness: 2 or three play areas for young children

I came in with my service dog who had on his service vest and the cashier asked me what service does he provide. That is an invasion of my protected health information. I have never had anyone ask me that ever and when I ordered the turkey bacon wrap she said she was out and walk away. I live within walking distance but I will not be going back.

Cute coffee shop with great coffee, ambience, and collection of books! The staff is so sweet and just cheer me up with their service. They have some interesting events on weekends. I also love that the cafe is accessible with ramp at the back. I wish there were a few vegan options too. Overall, I love the place!

I am a local College Hill resident and visit this coffee shop often. It is bright and airy with a boho modern feel. The coffee served is La Terza, which is one of the best local cincy roasters. Seasonal coffee drinks brighten up the mood with small food side dishes, including salads, pastries, and sandwiches, filling your appetite. Luminary is becoming a College Hill staple as I have run into many a neighbor there. They sell La Terza coffee in bags, which is convenient and makes a great gift.

The atmosphere is amazing as are all the drinks and baked goods. Ordered a spinach quiche is it was subpar - eggs were very rubbery and neither myself or my brunch date could eat them. So while I would not recommend the quiche - everything else is amazing!!! Would recommend and will go back.

Luminary is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. It is bright and warm (literally-- I don't freeze sitting there) and decorated so fun. The menu is small, but perfect for a coffee shop-- definitely enough to choose from. I have enjoyed a seasonal tea latte, an almond milk chai latte, and their potato soup. One big perk of Luminary is that parking is a breeze as they have a giant lot out back. I also like that you can enter the shop from either the front or back. They have two bathrooms (with changing tables for mamas). For seating, you can choose a traditional table and chairs, large table with chairs (like a meeting space), or a lounge area with a couch and comfy chairs. I had a work meeting here recently and the vibe of the shop made it easier to get comfortable and move through the meeting. The baristas are friendly and helpful-- always making sure I get my printed receipt. 10/10 recommend.
