The ribs are simply fantastic, and so is everything else at Montgomery Inn. The sauce is delicious. Saratoga chips are crisp and fresh. Salads are fresh and come with the right amount of dressing. Cocktails are good pours. Server is attentive; he is one of the best servers we have ever had. We have been coming here for years - you cannot go wrong with Montgomery Inn.

Forget the hype and taste the food. Ribs were tender and fell off the bone but not that much meat and the ends were over cooked. Big letdown. Chicken Breast and Tiny wing come attached. Add your own sauce. Not very juicy. A little dry. Macaroni and Cheese good but barely warm. Baked potato just ok. Nice interior with sports memorabilia but it can’t make up for the mediocre food. Service very good.

We had Montgomery Inn cater our daughter’s graduation/going away to college party this Saturday. It was the BEST from the food to the caterers (Karen and I believe her son). The salad and fruit was all fresh, the BBQ was as always outstanding! All of my family and friends even gave them a shout out and a round of applause!!! I would hire them again for any event!

We used Montgomery Inn catering for our wedding in June 2019 and had a fantastic experience. Amy was amazing to work with. She has an incredible amount of experience with her job and it really shows. She knew our venue already and had timelines for checking in. Day of everything showed up as promised and the food was as good as eating in the restaurant. The service was great and the bartenders were so friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend their catering services!

First visit to Cincinnati. A friend highly recommended this place for their exceptional ribs. I had Ted’s Platter that included a sampling of both original and smoked ribs, and brisket. The portions were adequate and the original ribs were excellent. The smoked ribs were good, but not as tender and didn’t have much smoke flavor as I expected. The brisket was somewhat dry but had a good flavor. The platter also included onion straws and cornbread which were both delicious. I will eat there again when I return next month, but will try something different. I must also shout out to their staff for an excellent job.

I first went there in 1972!! BOB HOPE used to come then later had The Food sent on dry ice for his parties! One suggestion especially if you have children..get there by 5:30-6:00!! Gets crowded!

Tender, fall off the bone, juicy, flavorful ribs. The sauce is sweet so it might not appeal to everyone. The restaurant in Montgomery is dark, I preferred the one on the riverfront

The food was average at best. The brisket was very fatty and the Scallop Salad was shredded cabbage(no lettuce) with some mayo tasting dressing. Ribs were just okay. I would not go back again. Big restaurant with nice decor and our waiter was attentive.

Made reservation for 14. Got a decent spot upstairs with only a few minutes wait. They only assigned us one waiter who was also taking care of 2-3 other larger tables. This significantly slowed down the service (we were there for 1.5 hours before our entrees arrived). Our server was nice but not proactive and acted shy. He didn’t raise his voice so people could hear him, no one heard him ask for appetizer orders. The ribs were good as was the brisket. The chicken was okay. We were underwhelmed.

I heard of this place several years ago and got the chance to eat here last evening. We arrived at 5:30 and there was already an hour wait. They’re known for their ribs and Saratoga chips, both were good but I didn’t think the ribs were as “fall off the bone tender” as the menu made them out to be. It’s been said BBQ sauce was made for bad BBQ, and while the ribs weren’t bad, the sauce was definitely overpowering. I found it more of a spicy/smoky ketchup than BBQ sauce. If you’re from an area known specifically for its version of BBQ (North Carolina, Texas, Memphis, St Louis, Kansas City), you’ve probably had better. It’s definitely popular with locals however, server was exceptionally friendly, and the sports memorabilia adorning the walls is quite impressive.

Our family of 4 from out of state ate here with 2 locals who declared it "best place ever for ribs" (which my husband loves). 4 of us had original ribs- tender and tasty. Both original and chipotle sauces are worth trying. My son had pulled pork and chicken wings - good, not great. My vegetarian daughter had very few options and ended up with unremarkable caesar salad and baked sweet potato. Graeter's ice cream on dessert menu is a yummy local favorite!
