Good place to grab a bite and have a drink but, unfortunately, they don’t know how to treat a regular and poor management drove me away. I’ll start by giving credit where credit is due. MVP, aesthetically, is a nice place. The majority of the bar and serving staff is friendly and kind. The food is a great value. They have good musical acts. But they’ve got issues. First, it’s almost always cold to the point that you need to wear a jacket. I understand that heating and air conditioning rates are high but that should be built into your business model. You don’t want cold customers. Second, once you become a regular they tend to ignore you, make you wait for drinks, prioritize other customers over you the regular. Third, the kitchen staff (when running food out to the bar) got snippy and rude over a simple request on a food order. Fourth, they charge covers upwards to $12 for bands. I get it if you’re downtown or in a big city, but in Deer Park, Ohio…come on man! And don’t you dare complain about a cover. If you do, you’ll most likely get a condescending, unnecessarily snarky, rude, and passive aggressive comment from the owner. So, at the end of the day, I’d go elsewhere for a bite, drink, and music. We have plenty of great venues in this city for all three (except they have respectful, customer oriented owners).

Went here with a friend, had an issue with one of the bartenders saying she didn’t have an open tab but she did. She gives him her card again, we get our bill and leave. She wakes up to SEVERAL other charges totaling to $145+. I would not go here or recommend it to anyone unless you want to wake up to several unauthorized charges.

Neighborhood bar in Silverton. Great for watching sports. Reasonable prices. The staff Is friendly enough and they hustle. It's been busy every time we've been. It could be a great place to listen to music, but the bands don't seem to understand how to level the sound. Drums drown every instrument and vocals. We'll be back to try the food.

Great place to listen to the band and watch sports. I ordered chicken wings and the sauce is so thin it just runs right off the wings. I asked the server if there was even sauce on it. However the chicken chunks and french fries was very

We didn't order food, so I can't comment on that. There was NO service - we had to order at the bar, which wasn't too bad. The VIBE was entertaining... hilariously LOCAL and almost inbred. One patron commented that "everyone at that table are cousins - all related from a pair of sisters". My S.0. commented that he'd seen two of them KISSING earlier... and the patron responded "Well, it's Deer Park...". VERY entertaining evening - decent band and reasonably priced beer.Parking: Oh the glorious parking is just legendary. Perfectly positioned across the street... gotta come back for the parking. :P

I am am a retired military employee with a full military pension.I am also noticeably disabled. It is my opinion my that my age and disability played a major part in the way i was treated by the regular staff on Sunday, October 8th, 2023.Reservations are required on Sundays during football season. We made a reservation for 2. We needed to arrive by 3:00pm or we would lose the reservation. I arrived at 2:45pm. I asked the server where our table was. She seemed confused. She went to the back. Upon returning, she told me to pick a table for 2 that was marked reserved. My friend arrived at 3:10pm and sat with me. We had ordered iced teas and we were served the teas. At 3:40pm, one of the regular servers came to our table and said in a condescending tone to me, "I hate to 'burst your bubble,' but this table is reserved and you will have to move." I responded, "You did not burst any bubbles. We have reservations and told to sit at our choosing at any table reserves for 2." The waitress was adamant about us moving and proceeded to sternly say, "THIS TABLE IS RESERVED FOR A COUPLE WHO SIT HERE EVERY SUNDAY!!!SINCE YOU DO NOT HAVE RESERVATIONS YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE." Again, I informed her we had reservations. At this, a second waitress got involved. I was able to explain to her that we had reservations. She went to the back to verify. Upon returning, she informed us that there had been a mistake, but we would still have to move. We found a table for two and moved there. However, I am frustrated with 2 issues about your reservation policies:1. Your reservation plates placed on the tables do not display a specific name for whom it is reserved for.2. Why were we told we needed to be there by 3:00pm or we would lose our reservation when a "regular couple" appeared well past 3:00pm and their reservation was honored.Sadly, this totally ruined my time at MVP Sports Bar. It only takes one time to make a lasting bad impression. My take on this is, "Unless you are a youthful familiar face at MVP Sports Bar, be prepared to be treated as a second class citizen. This Waitress did indeed "burst my bubble!" Just not in the way she expected to.Never to return,John K. Sanders, RPh (retired)
