Pelican’s Reef is open! This was one of the first restaurants we ate at when we moved to Cincinnati in 2015. My wife and a I love seafood, I grew up on the coast and was raised eating fresh seafood and Pelican’s Reef was always a taste of what I missed the most. We had eaten there several times and were devastated to hear about the fire. We recently heard they had the 2nd floor open for dine-in so we went on a late Saturday afternoon. There is some renovation still going on downstairs but just go through the single door out front on the right side and up the stairs and you are there. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, service was prompt and food was all fresh and delicious. We had fried oysters, Lobster Bisque, Clam chowder, Caesar salads, grilled Mahi-mahi and stuffed grouper. Everything was excellent, fresh and cooked to order. Oysters and fish tasted very fresh and were perfectly cooked. We were so excited to be back at one of our favorite restaurants and enjoyed everything we ordered! Thanks!

Closed for lunch week days. I didn't see that on their website. If it was there.

Can't believe that they were closed for remodeling!

They have reopened the top floor (accessible from the back of the building) and brought back a portion of the menu.

I know they just reopened after a fire and working with a smaller section. The soups are premade and sitting in a vat in the dinning area. I got lobster bisque. Not one piece of meat in my soup. The prices are high for the amount of food... $6 for a cup $7 for a bowl tbh there wasnt much of a difference between the size just the vessel. My friend got a cup and i got a bowl. Im sure my shallow bowl would fit in the cup.My friend ordered crab cakes. They were 3 silver dollar sized cakes. You can probably eat in one bite!! I ordered calamari. They were fine. The hot chili sauce was good with them.I hope they get the downstairs fixed quickly

Would go there several times a week and always got good food and enough attention from the servers not too much, but not being ignored. It was a favorite place of mine.

A fire resulted in this place closing earlier this year and it is not reopened... It appears that no progress has been made to renovate it yet they still have a website and Facebook page that indicates their hours of operation and when they're open.. Don't waste your time driving there because the only thing you will see is yellow tape around the entryway and a dumpster in the parking lot ?‍?

Im sorry but this place has really changed since new ownership…. Understandably yes they’ve had a fire and things are a little hectic ….but came here for dinner tonight really craving the food that used to be here…. This WAS definitely one of my top 3 restaurants but after tonights impression im blown away to say the least… ordered appetizers for our dinner …..both literally maybe takes 5 -10 minutes each to make…. A Caesar Salad with grilled cajun grouper and charbroiled oysters … we waited an hour for our food … I think they forgot to place it to be honest because we had to ask twice for someone to check on it …. The restaurant was not slammed by any means in fact the people working food line were doing outwork wiping things down etc. ….. food finally comes out of the back been watching this young man make salads all night long but didnt see him make mine ???…. Strange… as for the food Ceasar salad dressing waaaaaay different & not in a good way, oily & tasteless …. Grouper Over cooked waaay over cooked like rubber …. And lastly and this one hurts … they USED to have the best garlic bread ever … now ??!!! ….. I miss the FOOD that used to be here … I hate when new ownership takes over and cuts corners on cost and quality !!!…. Its a shame ive lost one of my fave restaurants tonight ?…… I would go to yelp to post this buuuuuutttt u cant check in.. still says they are closed…. Will prolly never open themselves back up to yelp.

We ate at the Reef Top, the upper restaurant, and the food was very good. Try the pretzels and beer cheese, it's the best I have had! I had a blackened halibut with crab and Benedict sauce....yum!
