Salazar has been a sensational staple on OTR especially for locals and though as silk miss them in this form, in this location, we will look forward to the next chapter and visiting the next corner that it graces. All our sincere thanks and best wishes for this past decade of deliciousness!!!
Our last brunch at Salazar was fantastic! Smoked salmon sandwich, goetta Benedict (chili crisp addition...wow), chilaquiles and of course fried oyster sliders! The Spill the Tea was a great cocktail for brunch. Cheers to Chef Salazar for letting us enjoy this exquisite place for the past ten years. Too many memories and great meals to count. Here's to the next adventure!

My wife and I enjoyed our time at the restaurant for dinner. The bread and salad nibbles were fantastic. While I wanted the salmon I changed to the steak at the recommendation of the waiter to the steak. It was over seasoned but a great cut of beef. My wife liked but didn’t love her schnitzel. Good wine selection. Great service.

Nov 2023 (2/5 stars): I like Salazar, I really do. But mostly, I'm left confused by their moves post-pandemic... They raise the price of a simple breakfast sandwich with meat to nearly $20... they offer a New Year's Ever dinner for $253 PER PERSON... yet simultaneously complain to the press that they aren't getting enough customers anymore?! I'm sorry, but it's clear as day that the pricing is the issue. Please just focus on running a good restaurant and not trying to maximize profits. Normal people in OTR don't want to spend $20 for a breakfast sandwich or $250 for dinner, even on NYE, I don't know who their audience is anymore, but I guess it is rich people that live in the burbs and not me. I'm really disappointed with what they have done here with both Salazar and Goose & Elder post-pandemic... two of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood have just turned into places that are out of touch and overpriced... it's a shame if this puts them out of business, but at least the writing is on the wall and they'll know why... alienating your core demographic by aggressively turning up the prices to the max is just such a strange move for this city's neighborhood, especially for a place that's been here so long. I simply can't afford to eat here much anymore, that's all there is to it. I wish they listened to us commonfolk.Previous review (5/5 stars) (2014–2022).

This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. The osso buco was outstanding. Also enjoyed the smash burger and the chicken schnitzel. Can't wait to see what the expanded Salazar will offer.

Salazar never disappoints! We had the most amazing dinner at the bar with Jenny, she was so lovely and helpful. We really appreciate how knowledgeable and accommodating the staff and kitchen are with handling dietary restrictions. We can't wait to come back and see the new location and whats next for the current space <3
It's hard to believe there could be a better restaurant in Cincinnati, or any city for that matter. All the dishes are truly amazing and over and over you keep asking: how did he possibly come up with that? We'll miss Salazar so much but we understand the economics which led to the decision to close at year end. Hopefully a new home is found soon.

We sat at the bar for Sunday Brunch. The other guests at the bar were friendly. All of the staff members were knowledgeable and attentive. Our food was delicious! I had the Sakura Waygu sirloin steak hash. The steak was prepared as I requested and was tender and flavorful. The A2 sauce compliments the steak well. My friend enjoyed the Eggs Benedict with goetta, avocado, and Hollandaise on an English muffin. I look forward to returning when Chef Salazar reopens!

We could not find parking and showed up 8 minutes late and were met with, “we have a reservation behind you”. Didn't feel good. Service was fine, food was amazing. Ambience cool, cozy, details. I loved my food.

As always the food was amazing. Great place. Not happy with the hostess who wanted to give us the worst seats even though the bar was half empty and one of the bartenders who ignored us have the time. Unusual as Salazar's usually has great staff

Chef Salazar knows the perfect mix for a restaurant - good bartender, great servers and fabulous food. Being a vegetarian who also has to be Gluten Free, it is challenging for me to eat out. But there is a superb and creative tofu dish and the best risotto that I have ever had. The crowd was convivial, animated - a great evening.
Beautiful place! I’m glad I got to go again before they close down!
