This is a Great place! So sad that they are closing for good today! Food is excellent and the staff couldn’t be any nicer! Wish them all well in their future endeavors !!

So sad that Washington Platform is closing for good tomorrow. Thoroughly enjoyed my last meal there. It was extra difficult deciding what to eat for my final meal because everything there is wonderful.

We we're there for the special Feast of the 7 fishes. While the service wasn't great and the food from the buffet was cold, the atmosphere, the band and the selection was nice. Just not quite sure it was worth the $60 per person price.

Dropping off a pre-pandemic review as I realize now they'll be closing and I never took the time to appreciate them in the past. I met a friend at Washington Platform before a theater event down the block and we both had seen things on the menu we wanted to try. Went in on a Wednesday early evening and it was dead. Not like there were a few people milling around, but like I didn't know if we were actually supposed to be there dead. But that means that we got very attentive service and our food out very quickly! They started out by serving us a basket of hush puppies, which is the best substitution for a bread service I've ever heard of. Restaurants take note: Hush puppies are a key to my heart. I ordered the crab cake dinner, and substituted a salad for the fries (again I have hush puppies already...) and my friend got a blue cheese pasta with fish dish. Her dish was RIDICULOUSLY garlic heavy, with a ton of blue cheese and a smattering of fish. It also came with damn near a whole loaf of garlic bread. She was pleased. My dish was a little less epic, with a small salad (greens, tomato quarter and some carrot sticks), but with a really fantastic dressing. The crab cakes were large and meaty, with good seasoning and a fry that held them together. I wouldn't say this was the best dinner ever, but I'm sad to see them go.

First time here and everything was great! Oysters were extremely fresh and some of best I have had. I got the burger, guests got the Chicken entre and loved it. Great drink selection and just a great experience overall. Service and value were excellent. We will most definitely be back soon!!

Washington Platform has delicious food! Their menu also offers items you often do not find on other menus like oysters. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking is convenient for a 'downtown' spot. Ambiance is nice. They offer many special food and musical events.

Very good service. It is one of the few restaurants we frequent that someone bother to read my comments. My tea and our soup were indeed very hot. The gentleman who seated us even knows my name we loved the fried oysters. The Seafood soup I had was very hot and rich. Delicious! The servings are large and the prices are reasonable. We had been to Washington Platform a number of years ago, for some reason we kind of forgot about the place. After our dinner tonite, we are definitely returning.to explore further their menus.

Wonderful jazz band. We had the shrimp ofcourse, and it was really good. Our cocktails were lacking alcohol?Main restaurant room was a little dated but the music room was better. We will go back for the food and sit in the back room for sure to listen to jazz.

Great service. Really appreciate that I got two phone calls about the special not being available as I had mentioned it in the notes when I made the reservation. Excellent food and service!

We ate here for the first time for their 22nd annual crab carnival and the food was nothing short of amazing. I got the crab bisque to go with my pasta and my husband had one sip of the bisque and said he was getting some of that to take home! The Alaskan King crab legs and the pasta Giovanni were awesome. Everyone at the table left full and extremely satisfied with the meal, service and atmosphere. Will 100% be back for more!

Went here for the crab carnival and was blown away by the flavor. The decor is intentionally old-fashioned as this is a historical site but the food is anything but dated. Perfect oysters started us off before a bevy of delicious crab dishes. Service was excellent, and we will be back; most likely before the month is out.

For me this place was a hidden gem...I am a seafood junkie at times and my love decided he would take me some where new. I've passed this place a lot being born and raised here but never tried it.We were seated away from people in a corner which was nice for social distancing and intimacy. Our waitress Annabelle was very kind, informative and attentive. Her suggestions were spot on.We got a few different items but the stars of the show were the cocktails, hush puppies, fresh Ceasar salad, crab mac n cheese and the snapper.Love the live jazz...it was a whole mood all by itself. I will be back again soon!
