Amazing food! ? Some of the best tacos I've had in the northeast. Servers were great. Service was a bit slow, but we were there as part of the eclipse crowd April 2024, so that's understandable. Our friend said they're normally really quick tho.

When somebody tells you they have a food allergy to cheese and specifically asks for no cheese on their food, they should be responsible to make sure that doesn’t happen. It was added anyways, and the bartender LIED to me after looking at it by saying “it’s sauerkraut”, when it was in fact shredded cheese! (“Sauerkraut” wasn’t even an ingredient on the March special taco I ordered…) I had to spit it out, immediately ask for the check and left having receiving no apology or assemblance of remorse. This would have been a COMPLETELY different scenario had it been ingested, and unfortunately I learned this business is dishonest and can’t trust anybody there to do the right thing! Also, the service there was slow and seemingly neglectful, especially when it took over 6 minutes to get my server over to verify the order.Anyone else with a food allergy - this is NOT a good sign!

Nothing special about here. Food is very below the average. Don’t make the name fool you the ambiance the food and the music all American.

I will start by admitting that I'm probably not their target demographic. First, I'm over 40. And second, I know what tacos taste like.We got tacos the way they are served in Mexico: in soft corn tortillas. In Mexico, these tortillas are usually made right in front of you and served straight off a comal (a griddle for cooking tortillas), and they are ALWAYS hot. In Barrio, they come out of a package (predictable), and are COLD and HARD, i.e. ancient (less predictable and pretty disappointing). My companion (a real, live Mexican!) said the meat on his taco was meh, and I can report from personal vegetarian experience that the sauces were close to flavorless, the "spicy" salsa (three stars on their menu, it goes up to four) didn't even register, and the beans were blah. The mushrooms were OK.If we ever have another post-10:00 pm food emergency and find ourselves in the vicinity of Barrio, we'll probably go home and cook something. But if we give in to laziness, we might try the trio of appetizers. Tacos = never again. Never. Again. Never.Gave this place two stars for food only because we didn't get sick after eating there. And I guess the prices aren't outrageous.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options, possible that none of them are good.

Very interesting experience with a build your own Taco menu. The decor has a Spanish flavor to it with lots of cool things to admire. Vegan friendly also!Vegetarian options: Vegan options also!

I got my food to go and ordered inside.Hosts were great!Cooks gave me the wrong order. Making a very simple shrimp taco isn’t rocket science. And I can’t send it back cause of course I saw it when I got back to my office to eat.

I've been to Barrio a few times. This was my first time at the Cleveland Heights location. The tacos I ordered were great. They were lightly hot, which was good for me. The mango margarita was really delicious. I definitely will come back to this location next time I'm in Cleveland.

Personally, I consider that their fusion cuisine: Mexico Texas Ohio is not a good combination. The waitress did not wait for us to give her the total in cash.

Nice and cozy space. Plenty of taco options and a big menu that lets you build your own. Service can be a little slow around the busy times. But, there's always room during brunch and matinee times.

*** Updated review***Barrio had commented on my initial review. They requested that I send an email, I did.... A month ago. They never responded. If I could give them ZERO stars, I would.***********************Paid $10.50 (which in itself is actually ridiculous) for a Jameson & Ginger ale. The ginger ale was flat. The Pepsi we ordered was also flat. The queso was given to us cold. The tacos had so much sauce that they were actually inedible. I'll stick with the Lakewood location, everything is so much better there.
