We sat down at 10:15 pm only to find out that the bar had to close early unexpectedly. However, the staff was very kind and served my group one round of beers. All of the beers were really delicious! We will definitely come visit again!

Fantastic experience all around. The beer slingers behind the bar take good care of you. The beers are solid and the food is decent as well. The location is really trendy and the space has a great modern vibe! Definitely another great Cleveland brewery that is doing all the right things. Lots of nods to the movie Major League here, as well. Jobu is on the shelf and quite a few beers are taken from the movie.

Cannot recommend Boss Dog enough! My husband and I live in the neighborhood and have been here several times, but over the weekend we had my baby shower here. I was looking for a place that could accommodate the shower guests while also allowing my husband to hang out with his close guy friends / family at the bar while the ladies were at the shower. The staff was wonderful, pleasant, helpful and overall made the experience great. Prices for the shower were SO reasonable and we had plenty of space (probably around 30-35 shower guests). Everyone was so impressed by the venue and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food (we had pizza, pasta and salad provided by Boss Dog). Highly recommend Boss Dog for your future event AND for an afternoon bite to eat or night out.

The place was fine but the construction and weather made it really hard to get in and out for someone who's handicapped. The food was OK. Just remember that for groups the tip is included so please check your bill.Wheelchair accessibility: If the weather was good and there was no construction there is an accessible entrance along the side.

Honestly my most recent experience was just downright not good. I don’t like to just be mean and pick on people/places. I am writing this honest review because I root for local business and think Boss Dog could be and normally is so much better than what was experienced.SERVICE:To start, we were a party of 8 and seated with only 2 menus to share between the group. No attempt was made to bring more menus. Other than that the service was somewhat sporadic but it was trivia night and there was a big crowd. Bussers brought out our food and I had to get our servers attention to request extra condiments. Every time the server came by I will acknowledge she was prompt about refilling our waters. All around I think it’s fair to say the service was average at most.FOOD:They were unfortunately out of the short rib burger that I wanted so I ordered a standard cheeseburger cooked medium with fries. The food didn’t take super long to come out but when it did my burger was cooked more than well done and was cold. It did not have much flavor and did not taste fresh. Other members of our party who ordered the burger felt the same way. As I previously mentioned the server did not check on us to see how our meals were and I ended up having to get her attention for more condiments as my burger and fries only came with a side of ketchup in a small plastic cup. I also feel that $15 and a $2 up charge for the french fries is too pricey for the portion size and quality of food that is served even if it came out prepared and cooked to a higher standard.TRIVIA:I was personally not a fan of the trivia format. The host was seated in another section of the restaurant in which all the tables were reserved. Other trivia nights I have been to had the questions put up on a big screen. We were left with passing around a member of our party’s phone between all 8 of us. Instead of reading one question at a time and submitting an answer, the host would race through 7 questions at a time barely giving the contestants time to think about one question. It made it more difficult especially with no big screen to look at the questions and not being able to hear since we were situated far from the host in the noisy restaurant. I get that the format is the format in the end but on top of everything else it just added to the unsatisfactory experience. In conclusion, it was disappointing to see this gastropub fail to live up to the “gastro” portion of the phrase. Even though I was openly critical my only intentions are to be constructive because if I owned an establishment such as this I would want to know and strive to be better.

Best sandwich in Cleveland: Boss Dog Nashville Hot Chicken. Hands down. Love this place. Great patio. Barstools are very comfortable, outside chairs not so much. Service can sometimes be slow but the food and casual atmosphere is worth it… I dream about the Nashville Hot Chicken, messy with a masterful flavor ratio. And the beer is great too. ?

We arrived after a 4 hour drive from NY state to bring daughter back to college. We found this place near where she lives. Not very busy for Friday at 8:30 pm. Four in our party. We each had a beer, all were good, Jobu seemed most liked. Food also was very good. Big Boss pretzel was nice for 4 people. New England clam chowder as a special was very good, clams not rubbery. My half rack ribs very meaty, nice char and right amount of sauce. Candied bacon pizza had nice crispy crust, very flavorful toppings. Daughters had short rib burger and Korean chicken sandwich. Everything was flavorful and satisfied that end of road trip hunger. Only item that was average was key lime pie, but we didn't leave any of it on the plate. We will go there again when in the area.

Great open layout, decent food, service is solid & the overall vibe was positive and enjoyable. I wasn’t sure what to order so I let the bartender pick and much to my delight, the beer was absolutely delicious — “Calico” as he called it. Highly recommend! Will be returning! ?Parking: Turn onto Tullamore then follow it around the short bend into the parking garage.

Great place. My only complaint is the same music plays everytime I’ve been there. It’s always classic rock and while it may seem like a minor annoyance, it’s nice to go out somewhere and not just discover great beer but also great music you’ve never heard not to mention how it adds to the atmosphere as well. ????Parking: behind boss dog

We came in here hungry and cold, first time visit. The beer was great, the Experimental German Lager was amazing! The loaded kettle chips were great, the Pork Schnitzel great, the fig salad equally delectable! We will be back!

I’ve been going to Boss Dog since they first opened, and as much as it pains me to say, the quality has dramatically declined. The beer is still decent, if generally hoppy across all styles, and the service was pleasant. Alas, the same can’t be said of the food. Items I would eat again based on my last trip: the pretzel… and maybe the waffle from the chicken and waffles. Items I would avoid: the loaded potato chips (bland), pierogies (bland, and also still cold) fish and chips (questionable cuts of fish), poutine (bland), chicken from the chicken and waffles (very bland), and the coleslaw (a crime against humanity). Hopefully the management is able to turn things around, though I probably won’t be back to find out.

Decent food. You use to mess up my online orders a lot but that’s fine. You have good options when it comes to dining in I’ll give you that. I love your pretzels and pasta. Please bring back the salmon burger it was really good. You’ll get more business with issue 2 passing trust me. The stoner community loves good food so just try to have a creative menu and change with the times. Best,Aaron
