So, my mother and I were planning on using Budget Truck Rentals for moving my friend out of Ohio. After reading some reviews and trying to figure out their disorganized website, we chose not to go with them and most likely rent a u-haul.This made me and my mother pretty confused with Budget as a whole company because when we have to rent a vehicle, we usual rent from Budget where we live in Wisconsin. So to see these reviews about this location is very disappointing.Some future advice for this company, coming from someone who has never ran a company nor have professional business education...do not make statements, contracts, promises, or reassure costumers on something when you aren't going to pull through on your side and completely lie and rob costumers. You shouldn't have to rely on your costumers to clean or to check maintenance on your vehicles, and then charge them for taking longer than the expected or charge them for any other work that had to be done on the vehicle they were using.With all these situations that keep happening to costumers, people have the ability to take this company to court, and I wont be surprised if someone does.

So I get charged to drop truck off at night after hours at this location and it's nothing allegedly that I can do about it. They charged my card $30 without my permission. Needless to say I called to discuss this with Washington and he said he had nothing to do with it. But yet Budget Corporate said just drop the truck off and drop keys in the drop box.

DO NOT use budget truck rental. I rented a truck a week ago, showed up today to find out they didn't have it. Also, I was told the hours of the reservation were changed, the price was different, i needed a CDL and commercial vehicle insurance to operate a sprinter van, and have waited online with customer service for 3 hours only to be told Budget Truck Rental does NOT, as included in their agreement, guarantee in any way that they will have your reservation. I was literally told this by their customer service. They literally won't have your truck there and will tell you that you agreed to it not being there. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Please- they destroyed my entire move and weekend because of this.

I was forced to pay an extra $400 to rent at Penske after Budget ran out of trucks even though I reserved a month in advance. Addtionally, Budget customer service is disorganized and poorly managed. This is the second time Budget has failed to fulfill a confirmed reservation. Stay away.

I returned my truck to this location and was charged a refueling fee after I had already filled the tank up. I would suggest not using this location due to their dishonesty and lack of public trust that they have shown. If you must use this location, make sure you use your credit card and get a receipt because I used cash. I will NEVER patronize this dishonest location again and would suggest you do the same.

This is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. The truck I received had trash (on the actual seating area). Then, two hours into my four hour drive, the truck overheated because the fan was not working, according to the mechanic. I waited two hours for maintenance to arrive, two hours for him to go get the part and come back, and two hours to fix it. SIX HOURS in total! I was refused a replacement truck because I was so close to my destination. My drop off location threatened to bill me the charge of an extra day because I was going to return it late. Not to mention that customer service was rude and unhelpful. The sass from your representatives while *I* was maintaining patience and kindness reflects on the poor quality of your company. Apologizing only goes so far after you've been waiting for hours with no end in sight because at some point, answers are needed. Finally, after being transferred back and forth and being put on hold for at least an hour, a customer service manager explained I will not be refunded the whole trip because I "made it there." Yes, I made it SIX. HOURS. LATE. With no time to unpack my stuff because I now have to return to my original location for work. Since I lost so much time for moving, I asked if they were willing to cover the cost of movers to assist me and make up for my lost time. The answer was that I could hire movers and file a claim and corporate would *consider* it. Your company should be ashamed at the way you are treating your customers. If you are considering choosing Budget, go to their Facebook page and look at the comments on their posts.. Not a single positive post around that I can see. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and continuing to notify as many people as possible via social media to try and save everyone from this unreliable, unprofessional, rip-off company. Please feel free to contact me if you want to amend this. Readers of this post, if I am contacted and this dilemma is rectified, I will update the post. But if you are reading this, as I suspect you will, that means I was not contacted. Run away. Run far away as fast as you can from Budget Truck.
