The experience is always great when I go to grille 55. The reason for my stars is because I went to the downtown location last night with my friends. We asked the waitress for a cocktail menu the first red flag was there are no prices but the fact that one cocktail was $32 is mind blowing. When asked the waitress she said it comes with two shots but what she failed to mention was that it was $32 which I have never in my life paid for a cocktail. But lesson learned is to ask how much a drink is because they will not tell you the price.

I went 3/24/24 food was good, but over priced and I got burned on the plate wasn't offered anything but some burn spray , No money off , No drink, no future credit Nothing and now have blister from the burn

I purchased 10 wing dings, collard greens and garlic mashed potatoes. They charged me $17 for10 wings that were so small and they barely had meat on them, and they were fried too hard, and didn't have a stitch of seasoning on them. everything was à la carte, and the total was $29, which is a total rip off, and the cashier tried to charge me $30 when I got there. The mashed potatoes have so much salt in them, I can't even eat them. I am so disappointed because I normally cook at home, but I wanted to treat myself today. To be honest, the chicken wings were disgusting, and I will never order that again. I usually get the catfish dinner there and that's pretty good.

Used to be good. I know prices have to be raised but do so to keep the quality and service in place. Very disappointed last two trips. My prediction? Out of business by year's end.

I have eaten here before & the food & service was great this time not so much, the food was ok, my fish was fried to hard & was little fishy the yams were good tasting but watery, but my biggest gripe was the drinks were way too over priced! A drink that I normally pay $10-12 dollars for they charged $20 dollars for it & didn’t taste that good, also, the music was entirely too loud for restaurants/lounge me & friends couldn’t hear anything that the other one was saying without yelling over the music. I definitely will not be returning.

First time visiting from Tampa, FL and already made it my favorite spot !!! I was impressed with the energy in this place. They greeted us from when we first walked in with such kindness, the food was so good that I swore they had to cook it with love and the R&B music playing in the background, it was a whole VIBE !!! Truly enjoyed celebrating my best friends birthday.

this review is for the Grill 55 downtown Cleveland. Let's start off by saying to eat in the private dining area it's a $200.00 deposit which is fine. I've been man places very high scales places that I had to pay a deposit. However here the catch 22 for Grill 55 downtown they do not put you money towards anything nor do they give it back. It's was a table of 9. && due to being so money hungry they kept the deposit which doesn't make it a deposit. So after paying $200 to sit down. The door to the room was filthy even after watching a guy "clean it". After paying $200 to sit down it took about 10 minutes to get me a water. I had to keep asking the waiter for napkins which at the point one of my guest got up and went to the counter to get herself. I had to ask for utensils which I didn't get until after my food came out. The chef is wonderful and definitely knows what she doing. Also if you order over the phone they still charges you 18% of gratuities to your bill. Why? I'm not sure they must be scraping for Pennies. I'm not a complainer where I would make a review but this needs to be done I feel for $200 just to sit on top of paying for my meal I did not meet the standard of quality experience now if I would've set at the bar maybe. I'm sure now you now it has to be black owned

I ordered a perch dinner with a side of Mac and collard greens, 10/10! Though the side of shrimp I ordered for my son was still raw. The service and atmosphere is great but I hate that there’s no store front
My granddaughter chose Grill 55 to celebrate my birthday because of the lamb chops. Included were her two brothers and between us we ordered the lamb chops, greens, mac & cheese, catfish, fries, salmon, mashed potatoes, fried tomatoes and calamari. The food was so good I asked to meet the chefs and was given complimentary candied yams. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was extra friendly and attentive......the service was great! Even though it's not a large space, the lighting and the combination of sofa seating along with booths and other seating arrangements gives off a cozy and relaxing vibe. Very welcoming atmosphere that I highly recommend visiting.
Service was great, ladies were very nice . Food was average for the price. It was a big group we had to eat the food in our laps not sure why. Drinks are ridiculously high $24 for a small drink that taste like an Applebees drink that’s higher then most high end tourist areas. Never again.
