I moved out of Cleveland 3 years ago, and the only food that I truly miss regularly and have not found a replacement for where I live now is Kifaya’s Kitchen. The food is homemade with care, the meat is tender, and everything is seasoned perfectly. The price that you pay gets you a huge quantity. I got to go again when I visited 6 months ago. It was a cold Cleveland winter day and a steaming plate of Somali food from Kifaya’s was the absolute best thing. Can’t wait to go again.

Excellent food, and big portions. The service was great as well. We came all the way from Buffalo, and got served this delicious food.

Excellent food, consistent, and generally quick and courteous service. 4 stars because it seems hours aren't always consistent.

Love love love. Heard about this place from some food blogs and thought I would check it out. Hole in the wall place but who cares when the food is made fresh and tastes amazing. The beef and cheese samosas were DELICIOUS. I got the goat baris and the meat was so tender and flavorful. 10/10 would recommend. It felt like going to your grandmother's for a hot comfort meal.

They got middle eastern food with goat meat, rice, samosa, Flatbread, and pasta as being the main dishes. The only reason why I am giving a 4 star is because of the hefty price they charge per plate.

November 2021: I am a self proclaimed foodie adventurer. I will try almost anything. A coworker had suggested this place to me and had piqued my curiosity enough to sample things for myself.I ordered the kay kay with goat meat and shai tea, which was very good. The kay kay is like taking an unleavened bread similar to naan and cutting it up and frying it with the meat and vegetables in a wok-like skillet. The result is that the bread complements the meal and provides a sort of a noodle like taste and texture.Pros:* Small business with a more personalized feel.* You will meet Miss Kifaya and taste authentic East Afrikan cuisine. She is the chef and a danged good one too!* Prices are okay, but worth it for the flavor and spices...I have never been to the continent, but have tasted many Afrikan cuisines...Kifaya is on par with what my Somali friends have introduced me to.* The restaurant accepts cash and all major credit cards.* People can call place to go orders.Cons:* The restaurant interior is somewhat small.* The location is easy to miss without Google maps or GPS directions. It is nestled in a corner of an older convenient plaza. The business that was previous next to Kifaya is closed and gives off an unoccupied vibe for the entire plaza. Conclusion: I am not the Terminator, but "I'll be back"...

Our dinner Saturday night at Kifaya’s Kitchen near Cleveland was surprisingly good. We were not expecting Somalian food to be so tasty and satisfying. This is clearly a family operation where everybody has a stake in the success of this customer-facing business, and it’s a pleasure supporting recent immigrants who are so dedicated in providing a quality product that few of us have had an opportunity to experience. To me, Cherry Wonderdog, the food at Kifaya reveals a mix of Middle Eastern, Indian, Mexican, and maybe even Greek influences. It’s comfort food, for sure, in which, for non-vegetarians, chicken and goat dominate, along with chopped salads of cucumber, tomato, iceberg lettuce, and cilantro. We got a couple of the goat-inspired main combo meals and one chicken one. Curiously enough, I think the kitchen did a better job with the chicken than the goat. There was simply too much exposed fat that needed to be removed. A bit of a turn-off. If I were to return, I would probably try something less elaborate. The price on the goat meal had jumped to $18 which didn’t really seem worth it, especially given the hole-in-the-wall ambiance, plastic cutlery, lack of table service, kid playing video games alone in the booth next to us, etc. Also, there wasn’t as much warmth behind the counter from the woman who took the orders as I was expecting. I guess the goal is for folks to know exactly what they want beforehand and order fast. I bet this place would be great for lunch!
