Wonderful food. All pastas we’ve tried have been superb. However, not great takeout experience - several times have arrived home, unpacked order and found items missing (bread, salads, dressing). Make them check the order before you leave. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Never again. Marotta's was my favorite pizza in the Heights, but after today, they won't get another dime from me. And won't get a recommendation either. Ordered my pie ahead for pickup. Got to the restaurant and the 3 guys behind the counter all saw me in this very tiny establishment. Mind you, I'm 6'4 and a very large black guy, so Im basically blocking the front door. In the past I have gotten my pies from any of the guys behind the counter. But no one acknowledged that I was standing there. There was a waiter with the handlebar mustache, whom I also caught eyes with, he went on about his business of serving tables. After some minutes, an older group of white people came and and the waiter promptly came up to them to seat them. Mind you, he didn't know if I wanted a seat or not, he just went straight to them and got them seated. He then cam back to me and asked if I needed help..lol...I stated my displeasure at the fact that he so promptly served them and that I was there before them. I told him I had a pickup. He handed me my pie and said have a good day..wow. To make matters worse, my 30 buck pizza was welded to the cardboard box and the wax paper had melted to the pie, to the point where we had to eat around it. I will never ever patron this restaurant again. Very disappointed and upset.

Best pizza in the city. Fresh ingredients and the staff is friendly. These pizzas have come in clutch time and time again for browns Sundays with the bros. I love this place so much and hope they get a ton of business. The vegetarian pizzas are amazing I pinky promise.

We had the worst experience at this restaurant last night. The customer service was horrible. We learned about this restaurant on Instagram and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. Upon arrival we wasn't greeted. We waited 15 minutes for water, wine, and coffee. After 35 minutes we had to tell the server we was ready to order. The server never brought us bread until we had out main course meal. The server never asked if we wanted cheese on any of our food. We were expecting a better experience.

Went on a Tuesday and am sad to say that we were disappointed. I ordered the carbonara, which was in an Alfredo sauce rather than being a carbonara, though the meal overall was fine. My partner got chicken florentine and didn’t like it. She was so disgusted by it that she had me try the chicken, which tasted like it was going bad. For $30+ per meal, I thought the quality, attention to detail, and health perspective of the food were all lacking.

It was my first time at Marotta's, my husband has been before and loved it, so we decided to try it. Limited menu as it was a Sunday, pizza and salad only. From the moment we sat down, it was apparent that they were short staffed. We patiently waited to be addressed by our waiter, who was surly from the get-go. We didn't bother him at all, patiently waiting a very long time for our pizzas. I was polite, as was my husband, but our waiter was not. When trying to get his attention for the check, the one time during our meal we tried, he completely ignored us. Wait staff can make or break a dining experience. We won't be back. Waiter had a curly mustache, so likely same that another reviewer complained about.

The food is not great, pretty much a typical red sauce restaurant but priced like a higher end place in little Italy. We went in a large group and I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Very, very rude waiter with the twirly moustache. This was the second time I walked out after being treated with a condensending attitude from the Twirly moustache waiter. It's too bad, because I like food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, bad staff can ruin a good restaurant. I wonder how many other patrons have had bad experiences from this waiter.
