We ordered a calamari appetizer which was ok. Not outstanding. 20 seconds later the main courses appeared. The arugula salad was unremarkable, topped with a tough, overcooked piece of chicken. The pasta dish with calamari was just the appetizer with pasta.

Service not great. We had a reservation for 13. They had our two tables split across the restaurant. They have NO high chairs and it smells like cow poo. They absolutely knew we had to separate parties.

Hands down one of the most delicious meals I have had in years! I got the chicken Alfredo and the chicken by itself was amazing. Tender and juicy with a chargrilled flavor. Also got an order of steam clams and whatever the sauce is that comes with it is delicious! I soaked my bread in it just to make sure I got every last drop! My date got lobster ravioli with cognac cream sauce, and I swear I thought he was about to lick the plate clean the sauce was so good! Ended the meal with a lemon cream and limoncello flute which was light and refreshing. The staff was attentive and the place was extremely clean, especially the restrooms. I cannot say enough good things about this place and I will definitely be back!
Wonderful service and wonderful food! We would love to have had a table inside but the outdoor patio (heated) was fine especially I if you like to hear your dinner conversation!!!! I had calari pasta and my friends had shrimp and pasta. Not a bite was left over for a doggy bag?

Visited here twice the week of 25 March 2024. Maxi's was fantastic; hence the second visit only three days apart. The first trip, I had the Linguine & Meatballs and family had pizza. The sauce is just to my liking - on the sweet side with a bit of kick. The second trip, we had Chicken Parmesan, Penne and meatballs, and Bolognese w/Pappardelle. Bruschetta for appetizer and cannoli's, peach sorbet, and Limoncello creme for dessert. Absolutely fantastic for out non-gourmet, simple taste buds. Pick the patio seating if given the option - was the only option for our second trip (highly suggest reservations); I was hesitant because it was 40 degrees and windy outside, but the patio is enclosed with heaters and was great. We will definitely make this our regular Italian joint on our visits!!

We’re not from Cleveland so we wanted to try some authentic Italian and needless to say the food was remarkable, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was quaint! Will be visiting again next time we’re here!
Calamari appetizer was average, Chicken Parmesan was not very good and the Veal Saltimbocca was just okay. The highlight of the evening was the cannoli dessert. Service was excellent. And our table by the front window did provide a great view of what was happening outside. This was our first visit to Little Italy and we will probably return and dine at a different restaurant.

We stopped in to Maxi's to grab a drink, and they directed us to the Black Cherry Room. It is the upstairs cocktail lounge, and it was freshly renovated, cute and lovely. We ordered the espresso corretto and the amaretto sour. Both drinks were delicious and flavorful. Check it out!

Incredibly average food and small portions. Red sauce was far too sweet. Service was good, not great, but with all the amazing dining choices on the Hill, we will not be back to Maxi's. Disappointing.
