I needed to take a break from dairy and tried out their seasonal Vegan Chocolate Cookie Butter Ice Cream and it is, hands down, the best ice cream I've ever had, dairy or non-dairy! There were five people in our party and everyone was happy with their choices, which is unbelievably rare. I had to take a picture because less than 5 minutes after purchase, I was almost done. Generous serving size too! One scoop was enough to satisfy. I would walk from Queens, NY to get more. It's that good! ?Dietary restrictions: Great ice cream for vegans

Today I took my 2 grandsons and husband for ice cream while visiting the Ohio City area. After spending more than $30 for 4 cones of ice cream I was asked if we were staying or leaving. A bit confused I said what makes the difference, its an ice cream cone. I am then told there is a "cleaning tax" - $0.30+. What in the world is a cleaning tax? Is this legal? A FEE TO SIT IN A STORE WHERE YOU JUST SPENT $30 FOR ICE CREAM!!!! How many scams will Ohio come up with?!? While Im being told of this cleaning fee I look down at the dirty counter and wonder - what is the counter cleaning fee!?!? Who is cleaning!?!?!

LOOOOOOOOOVED this place. If I could bring it to Southern California, I would. I visited this location in the 48 hours I was in the city. Clean, open, and welcoming. A gajillion flavors, all very unique. They let me try a bunch. I ended up ordering...banana cream pie, key lime pie, salted caramel, some choc peanut butter one, and a raspberry chocolate chunk (my fave). ALL WERE CREAMY DELICIOUSNESS.

Very cool location, it looks like an old movie theater from the outside. You can see people working in the back room, it looks like it should be a scene in a movie. The ice cream is delicious, chocolate peanut butter cup is my favorite!
Going to Mitchell's for ice cream is a Cleveland experience not to be missed! The ambiance is great--it's in what appears to be a converted movie theater and they put the seasonal flavors on the marquee. There's a model train that makes a loop around the dining area and you can sit and watch the passersby from the large front windows. You can also watch them making the ice cream, even in the evening. We both got tin roof sundaes with mint chocolate chunk ice cream. The ice cream was so good and they use Bordeaux cherries and whole salted peanuts. Absolutely delicious! By the time we left, there was a line out the door. Guess slot of people know and love Mitchell's!

There was a long line when we entered but we were entertained by perusing the menu, the seasonal flavors, the friendly staff, and the line moved quickly. There's a viewing window where you can watch the ice cream being made, crumble being baked. There's a second floor where you can view the entire production. My cookies and cream was delicious and creamy with lots of thick chunks of cookie. I liked knowing that it's freshly made, with local ingredients, and you can see it being created (even after 7pm)!
