I first came here for lunch in March 2023 after they first opened and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, they no longer offer lunch service, but I highly recommend for a nice night out! Such a cute cozy place inside and I love that they've been doing themed pop up bars. I can't wait to try out their patio in the summer!

10/10. we loved everything about our experience - the atmosphere is so cozy it feels like you are at someone's house, great music playlist, great vibe! the service was incredible - our waitresses name was shannon. everything we ordered was delicious. fantastic flavor in all dishes, perfect amount of food that satisfied but didn't overfill you. everything on the menu felt perfectly curated. we can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely meal here. Our party of 8 was seated and served well, which can be tricky in itself. There were other large tables and the volume was quite high, making it difficult to hear the waitress. That's the only negative I could say about the entire evening. The food was all well prepared and lovely. The fish was flaky, flavorful and fresh. The shellfish was scrumptious. Really knocked it out of the park.Special occasion? Perfect. Not a special occasion, make one up. Trust me, you'll love it.

Wonderful space. Food was good, but not as terrific as Salt+ fare - hopefully it's just finding its legs. The octopus was decent but somewhat overpowered by the sauce. Cioppino was delicious but not as much of a soup or stew as pieces of seafood with thick sauce. The lamb burger was wonderful but a bit overcooked. Grilled artichoke was divine. The blood orange tart was wonderfully flavorful, but the orange slice wasn't blood orange and the texture was difficult to cut for consumption. Service was better, courteous and quick, but light on banter. I may go again after it's been in operation for a while.

I wanted to love this place and tried a few things. We started with the smoked trout appetizers which was a hearty small plate. Pretty good and I liked the horseradish and capers with. For my main course, I never met a black cod I didn't like so that is what I ordered, however, this one seemed lacking in flavor and it was served atop a slaw that just tasted like the main component and overwhelming flavor was just mayo. I just wanted some hot sauce to help with the cod but there wasn't any. The server we had was incredibly sweet and swapped my meal for a lamb burger which was pretty good!!! Everything they serve is scratch made so that is always appreciated. We were there celebrating our 8 year anniversary and then saw a table next to us get served champagne because the waitress overheard it was their anniversary. I guess it pays to be loud about what you're celebrating! Lastly, for dessert, I had the blood orange and chocolate tart which had excellent flavor. IMO, you can never go wrong with that combination. The crust was a bit dry and lacking but I enjoyed the inside and loved the touch of the gold flakes. I would go back for the drinks and possibly try some other foods. I did feel the price point was high for the lack of flavor though.

I'd give this 5 stars if not for one thing. The prices. I have no issue paying for great food. The ambiance is fantastic. The staff is excellent. The food tastes amazing. BUT what we ordered couldn't have been more than $15-20 to prepare (bread, noodles, veggies) and our bill was over $100. Like I said, it tasted great but if I leave a restaurant hungry after spending that much, I'm not thrilled. You can get a meal that is equally as great at Zhug for much less and leave with a box. I miss Felice

Poppy takes the place of Feliz in the quaint Larchmere area. The old house gives a very warm atmosphere and the patio promises to be excellent once the snow leaves. Do note that there is pretty much only street parking but it is way easier to find a spot than Lakewood, Treemont, or Little Italy. As far as the food, really only one complaint across 8 dishes; otherwise it was fantastic. Appetizers we tried were the white bean puree, not a wow but also exactly as you would expect, hearty and good. The smoked trout was fantastic, just needed more crackers, and the Calamari was outstanding. For entree the duck was spot on, Sturgeon was fantastic, and the artichokes with the filet were amazing. The only complaint we had was the filet itself which was so charred on the outside we had to trim off the exterior or else taste charcoal in every bite. For desert we did the chocolate tart which was decent and the Chai crème pot which was delicious! Drinks and service were also top notch. Add this to your must try list for sure!!!

Signage was poor for this place and I had to really look in the courtyard area to know this was Poppy. No parking lot but there was plenty of street parking. It's in a little house with creaky floorboards but very Tremont/Coventry-esque. The staff is pretty friendly and attentive. Menu was attractive and pricey but not crazily so. Like Salt, they do small plates but I found that the variety was better. The flavors, quality of the food, cut of the protein were quite excellent. While the portions weren't huge, they were realistic. My bill for myself came up to almost $60 for 1 app + 1 entree but I left full and satisfied. I ordered the octopus small plate and the duck entree. Both were delicious.

The menu was limited. If you have pedestrian taste this is not the place for you. I did like my salad and my friend enjoyed her appetizer but it is definitely for a crowd that has refined taste. Ambiance and service were good!

Very nice evening at Poppy's. We stopped at their winter bar behind the back of the restaurant for a quick drink. They have fun winter drinks that you can't get on the regular restaurant menu. I got the lamb burger and cauliflower starter for my dishes. We also ordered two slices of sourdough bread for ($1 each) to wipe up the extra cauliflower sauce. It was really tasty! Also the lamb burger was really flavorful with sweet potatoes fries. The feta cheese on the burger was really good too! Would love to come back and try other dishes. Lastly, parking is only street parking or parallel parking. So be weary of that!

Wife and I came here in the Fall for our anniversary dinner. It was a lovely evening, so we opted to sit out on their back patio area which turned out to be a great decision. The serving team asked us if we were celebrating anything special (which we were) and returned with a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary...what a nice touch! We decided to split a baby romaine Caesar salad and then we each ordered a main dish. My wife loved her halibut with a smoked pepper glaze atop a sweet corn puree and a side of grilled asparagus. Seeing the open-air grill when we entered their outdoor patio area, I opted for the char-grilled flank steak served with potatoes and asparagus. It was smokey and cooked to a perfect mid-rare degree. The atmosphere and air of celebration made for a wonderful dining experience, anxious to come back and sample other items from their menu!

So you will notice it’s a bit of a mixed review, we do feel that the food is great, and the service and atmosphere were great. However, they seem to just feel like closing whenever they want to. Twice now my partner and I have drove 30 miles to come to this restaurant, and they just decided to be closed, at that point. We were looking enough to eat there once, and everything was wonderful, but it is quite disrespectful to not honor the hours that are on the Google app or their website.
