Cute place. Very family friendly. This place seems to cater to the older crowd and families with multiple children as it is budget friendly. The service is always decent. But don't look for healthy options here. The menu hasn't changed much since my children were young. But it's quaint, and for some reason I still visit at least twice a year. Probably more for the little shops rather than dining. However, the bakery is a staple attraction.

This place is like a Dutch Cracker Barrel except kind of better and priced accordingly. The Dutch taters and the cheese sauce … YUM! The soup and salad bar with pastries were so delicious and plentiful. I ordered the fried chicken which was enough to take home. All the portions were large, so come hungry or get a to go box. The staff were all very friendly and had good recommendations. I saw some comments about things not being seasoned and I can say I might agree with that on some things but it’s also taste preferences too. Definitely would go back if I was in the area again.

My first visit/lunch to Das Dutch Haus Restaurant. My wife has visited with friends and family yearly for multiple years. The bakery arouma excites your taste buds as soon as you enter. The atmosphere is relaxing and Das Dutch influences from the floor to the ceiling. When you enter the building it is through the gift shop and bakery department. Our lunch was great and the service was first class. Our next visit will be in the morning to try the breakfast bar. There was a lunch buffet that was reasonably priced, however, I would need to sample everything and we had a tight schedule to keep. We had soup and sandwiches and passed on the delicious looking desserts. The bakery has everything your sweet tooth desires. We purchased our desserts during checkout. The cinnamon and maple rolls were delicious. Fresh baked bread and meal entrees are available to go also. There was a lot of bake shop traffic and to go pastries and the pies looked delicious. Many of the items in the gift shop looked hand made and I will make time to investigate the large selection when we return in the near future. I saw a few of the embroidered hand towels my wife has purchased in prior visits. We bike ride around the local lake and I will include Das Dutch Haus Restaurant as our refueling stop on our next ride.I apologize for the closed pastry box photo. I wanted to show the tasty cinnamon rolls that mysteserley disappeared while I was writing the review.Parking: The parking lot is very large and accessible to vehicles large and small. If I were a truck driver this would be a stop on my route.

A really fantastic change of pace. What a great "home cooked" taste of some country classic dishes. Jennifer took really good care of my older family members. Loved the Creamed Turkey dish

I Yelp every trip I take, and the donuts at this place were the sole reason that we diverted 6 miles off course (and found some really cool antique shops we had missed on the last trip, so that was a bonus!). Their donuts are light and not at all oily. They are also well filled. The raspberry cream donut was the one that got me hooked and is hands-down the BEST donut I've ever eaten... and my hubby loves donuts, so we hit up donuts or bakeries on every trip. My criticism is that the raspberry cream (I learned today) is only made on Thursdays . Please, I beg of whomever makes the menu for donuts, please add a jelly +cream of some variation every day! Cherry, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry... I'd even try a watermelon! They are more than amazing!!!. Staff is pleasant, and the shop is very cute with sooooo many baked goods, soups, gift items. This is a must stop on any trip that comes within 10 miles... 15 if I can guarantee get one of those jelly creams!!

Loved this place. Has a really good salad/soup bar. Meal Portions are average but very filling. I was surprised how cheap our bill was when we cashed out. I definitely will be returning when in the area again.
