Reservation time was not honored and had to wait an extra hour. We were not the only group that had this experience. They did comp us some appetizers and salads to help (which was appreciated) but they need to figure out their reservation system better and only take those they can honor.

There's several negatives about this restaurant. But let's hit the top 2 today: 1. We came to dinner at 4pm. Attempted to order the manicotti, which the waiter told us the restaurant was out of, and recommended the stuffed shells instead stating they were “basically the same thing.” Not thinking anything of it, we accepted the change. However, the reason the cheese manicotti was ordered is because a member of our party does NOT eat meat. Cheese manicotti = no meat, stuffed shells = meat. That's a pretty big difference and no where near “basically the same thing.” Luckily this was caught before they took a bite. 2. The restaurant smells bad. Like sewage, maybe? The restaurant is clearly aware of this, as there's dusty air fresheners hidden around the restaurant (like, behind statues) to mask the horrid smell. It's not working. Or at least, it's not working well.

We arrived promptly for our reservation at 6:45. However, I noticed that two other parties were still waiting for their 630 reservation in a very crowded lobby with no host on duty. We were seated at 7:11. The heat in the building was extremely uncomfortable for guests and servers. The garlic bread was underwhelming. The lasagna was disappointing. It tasted eerily similar to Stouffer’s brand which isn’t what I expect from a restaurant. To make matters worse, it wasn’t served warm. The chicken Parmesan was better, but the meat was dry and overcooked in the breading was unpleasantly hard. It left a nasty aftertaste that lasted throughout the night. Considering the delays, and polite service, and lackluster food quality, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

It’s a bit claustrophobic sitting deep into the maze of rooms and hallways. I’m not paranoid but the thought of how to get out in case of a fire was on my mind. Air conditioning wasn’t working when we had dinner and without ceiling fans, it felt more like eating in Florida instead of Columbus. Food portions are truly massive. Meat sauce was more like ground beef with a little bit of red sauce. Made the ravioli dish not as appetizing. Next time I’d get the raviolis with marinara sauce and a meat ball on the side. Prices were reasonable considering how much food is served and split among the party.

Booked a reservation 2 months in advance knowing it would be busy with the Bruce Springsteen concert next door which we were attending. Showed half hour early for 5:45pm reservation. They said to wait in the bar, they will grab us or text us when our table is ready. Half our later i go to the receptionist at 5:45 pm.....asked if table was ready. She said they are a half hour benind, they will text us or let us know in the bar when ready. Its now 6:15pm, I ask if table is ready or how close. She says sorry we gave your table away. 6:30 they finally make it right, the waitress hustled to get our food to us and she was great but this giving the table away was awful so was the fact that we waited an hour at the bar area for our table and no one contacted us.

Absolutely awful... the a/c was not working. We were sweating. Took us 30 minutes to get our drinks. Brutal service. Been here many times but the past few times have been bad experiences. Will not be back anymore.

The restaurant was incredibly overheated and the kids in our party were very uncomfortable. We waited quite some time before we ever saw a hostess and the slow service continued throughout our entire meal. We were hoping to order the giant sundae for my niece's birthday but we didn't have time because of the service. I believe our server was the only one in our rather large section and she was doing her best though. We love Buca and will be back. They were having a *really* bad day it seemed.

Judy was a great server and the food was hot and good. It's a challenge for a family of three, but leftovers make a great lunch the next day.
