Friendly Family Owned Mexican Restaurant with full variety of affordable plates & wide selections. Tables and booths plus bar and outdoor seating too.Big or small groups are just fine here. They had two parties going on at the same time as accommodating regular customers along with carryout services. Speaking Spanish and English to help pretty much anyone. Had mine to-go.... Bein Hecho

I arrived at 4pm with a medium sized party. The waitress rushed us from the drinks to the meal. The food was subpar and nothing was served hot except the fajitas. 2/10 won’t

The service was not friendly. Waitress’s attitude came crossed like she hated her job. Salsa was watered down, chips tasted a little stale. Food was so greasy that our tortillas were soggy. Rice was over cooked. The beef was like mush in my mouth.Atmosphere was pleasant, restaurant was clean. Gave good vibes. Positive on service was that it was fairly quick. Prices were reasonable. Plenty of options to choice from. Not a place we will come back to.Parking: Lots of room all around the restaurant for parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible with plenty of room.

The food was good. Service was a bit slow, but it was during The Arnold. So that was expected. I'd recommend this place. I will probably go back next year as well.

I go here all the time and the only thing I can slightly complain about is the plates being a bit hot when they deliver your food. Other than that the service is quick, the food is good, and it's all just amazing.

Service very good but chips were stale and salsa not very good

The food is amazing! Best Mexican food I've ever had! The service is always fast and friendly, and NO ONE makes better shrimp fajitas. Or tacos. My husband & I drive all the way across Columbus to eat here.

Great place! Fast service, hot food, cold daiquiris and beer! We hardly had to wait at all for a fresh sizzling platter of fajitas.

My favorite Mexican place.... One of the best places for guacamole. They also have a spicy salsa that you can ask for.I have been coming here for many years. The owners are absolutely amazing and have treated my entire family with kindness. They have a broiled fish that is amazing.... And I am not a fish person, usually eat the chimichanga or the steak. They always treat us very well and always have great service. The people are one of their greatest assets.I remember once when my kids (in highchairs) made a mess... My wife and I were trying to clean it up before we left.... And they said... Don't worry about that, we have a broom and can take care of it. I would leave some of a mess and tip well to cover it. They treated us so well my "I don't eat Mexican" wife wanted to go there all the time. It helped that their broiled fish is amazing. Lately my wife has been getting chicken and rice. That is the family favorite. They have the best cheese dip I have had and numerous people agree. My celiac family has no problem eating there.A Pepsi place. Love the margaritas! One of the few places you can actually get spicy food. Sometimes I have them add hot peppers to my dish. If you want it really spicy, they have a shrimp dish just for you.

Where to start? Well, I'm part of a group that used to call another restaurant home for our Spanish Group meetings. At this other place, over time they felt they needed to attract a different type of people and they fell out of love with us and us with the place and the service. It made it impossible for us to carry out the main purpose of our group, which was to hold conversations (in any language, but mainly Spanish) due to the loud music. Anything we asked it seemed like it was a bother to them, and when you're in a group holding conversation, your groups aren't very needy. We started coming out to El Acapulco, and from one weekend to the next, the server, Daniel, that usually opens the restaurant on Saturday mornings, he had memorized what me and other members had asked for on the previous weekend. I was impressed. Of course after a couple of weeks, he now remembers my favorite drink and the different variety of meals I've had there since we started coming in.As the weeks have gone by, they now expect us in and will have the table ready for us with Chips and Salsa. I mean, what a way to tell a customer that you are welcome to come back and that they don't only remember when you come in, but who you are by knowing what you had asked for last time. That alone is worth leaps and bounds in my book. They don't have beer on tap :(, but their meals are hard to beat on price, flavor and quality. Their menu choices aren't super ample, however, I've asked for a mix of meals and they'll come up with something totally different from what's on the menu. I'm basically getting a custom meal. Can't get that at most restaurants. The servers/owner and I discussed, that if I keep on getting that same meal, maybe I'd get it named after me on the menu? (wink wink)Either the servers or the owner himself usually engage into conversation with our group and it's quite a joyous experience to be welcomed that way.Takeaways from this review: Fair prices for Quality and Tasty food. Environment that doesn't try to flood you with the "Mexican" experience by having loud music blasting, and instead have quiet background music and whatever show in Telemundo or Univision on the TV sets. Quick turnaround times on food. Excellent personable customer service. We've found our new home.--2023-12-23 Update. As we've continued to come to El Acapulco, our relationship has just gotten closer and better with the restaurant team: Last weekend they had mentioned that if we were going to make today, Saturday before Christmas Eve, that they could bring/make Tamales and Champurrado for the group. Unfortunately, due to the travelling many of our regulars were not able to make it, the owners had brought plenty of tamales and chapurrado for the ones that were able to make it in and of course, they had brought in enough for all that could have possible came. The tamales were delicious and so was the champurrado. Come checkout time I was ready to receive my bill they told me that there wasn't anything to take care of, that it was all on them and it was their gift to the group. I am in awe and truly thankful to them and that we were able to find El Acapulco when we did as I'm sure are other members of our group.

So I called in and asked about their tacos and he told me about their ribeye street tacos, authentic Mexican style tacos, so I've had authentic ones before, so I confirmed that these had cilantro and onions, he said yes, and I ordered it, it was $15 for 4 but it was a lot of food. Plus complementary refried beans, chips, and salsa. The Tacos were KNOCKOUT, so good, I was extremely impressed. Definitely the best part of the meal and something worth trying.
