This place has went down hill over the last few years. I wished there was a 1/2 star choice. The food this week made my wife and I both sick! Avoid like it's the plague!

We used to frequent the now closed Hoggy's in Gahanna and at Polaris. We were saddened when they closed years ago. So we were very happy to discover them again on Bethel Road. Style has changed a little bit with you now ordering food at the counter, but the attentive employees were helpful in introducing us to the food and all the combo options. The ribs and the brisket were outstanding. Great smoky flavor. I also really enjoyed the fries I remember that at their previous locations they had a life sized red tractor hanging from the rafters. At the current place they have a miniature red truck hanging from the ceiling. So cool. We will definitely return and recommend.

Food was mediocre for the outlandish price. I got the beef brisket naked, one side and it comes with a corn muffin and a drink for $18 and some change. And the amount of brisket I got was a little small. In my opinion that's out of bounds for lunch. Guess that's why there wasn't many people there. Chalk up a twenty dollar bill if you go there by yourself.

I had never been to Hoggys before but I’m always up for some BBQ. The customer service was stellar and the food was amazing. The portion sizes are huge, and the plethora of different sauces was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be back!

Really enjoy the wings! They have a smoky, tender flavor inside with a subtle crisp outer skin. Better than the deep fried, dried out chicken tender-like wings at so many other places. Usually have a good wing deal too. The corn bread & butter as well as the cheesy potatoes are my favorite sides. Take out ordering is super easy and convenient too

I may be picky since I've lived in many different places across the country and have had some amazing food along the way. But I was disappointed with the food here. No smoke ring on any of the meat, the pulled pork was super dry, the brisket was grey and dry therefore kind of tough to chew. Did not leave a good texture in your mouth. You're going to need many many toothpicks!!!!The sauce was good. I had honey garlic, Teriyaki, and Jamaican Me Crazy. The mac and cheese was curdled and the noodles so overdone they disintegrated upon stirring so I know whoever makes the Mac does NOT have a good understanding on how to make mac and cheese. The baked beans were just decent only. The potato salad tasted like it came out of the cold case at Kroger's. The ribs was like trying to chew through shoe leather. Took extra sauce and an extra large sweet tea to get the meat down my throat. I had my meal at about 12:35 p.m. so I'm just trying to understand how the food got so hard and dry if they just opened? I'm willing to put money on it being leftovers. I'm just wondering was it 2 or 3 days past

The Mac bowl is elevated comfort food. Have you had one? Tell me all about it. This is the Pig Mac Bowl. It's loaded with Mac and Cheese, Pork, Bacon, Cole Slaw, Dill Pickles, Tomatoes, and Mac Sauce. Stir it all up, take a bite, and wait for your taste buds to be blown away. @ohiofoodlover

It was good food although they we out of brisket and pork for dinner time. They did have it advertised though everywhere outside (being out of those item) which is helpful to know in case you wanted to go somewhere else. They also told us when we called earlier in the day they took reservations and upon arrival it’s not really a place you need reservations for. It’s more of an order your food at the counter and sit down where you want. Those I was with ordered several orders of ribs. 2 orders were great and the other was cold and tough. The tough ribs were taken from bottom of a container and it was wrapped in Saran Wrap before serving. (You can see them prepare your food). The employees seemed nice. 3 stars for tough ribs and being out of 2 main meats at the start of dinnertime at a BBQ place.

That cornbread is the best cornbread I’ve ever had! The Kentucky Bourbon sauce on my brisket was also very good... was going to eat half and then save the rest for an afternoon snack, but I just couldn’t stop chowing down ? Will be trying the New Orleans Cajun on my wings next time ??

We were greeted by Kyle as soon as we walked in. It was 30 minutes before close and he was super polite and helpful, most people try to rush you out if you come in that close to closing time. The food was amazing, the combinations of sides and toppings were perfect. I would definitely recommend and will be eating there again whenever I visit that side of town.

The staff was very friendly we had never been to a Hoggy's but when in Ohio again I sure will stop in my brisket was so tender and the Mac and cheese tasted like my moms so amazing and they had Barq's red crime soda which is a plus my husband had one of there bowls which he enjoyed and my daughter had some chicken BBQ

Outstanding smoked meat sandwiches and sides for lunch yesterday, eaten on a small but comfy outdoor patio. The heaping serving of moist smoked turkey with pimento cheese, lettuce, tomato and slightly undercooked bacon was a big hit. So big, my wife took half of it home. I ordered the special: two thick slabs of smokey, tender brisket topped with red pepper butter, bacon jam and “sour patch pickles” – a blend of pickled habeneros, red pepper strips and sweet onions. It was a two-napkin meal but crazy delicious. Sides are above average, including a good slaw and some of the best green beans I've had in awhile, cooked with lots of sweet onions and bacon bits. I could have handled a double serving without much effort. And the moist and flavorful cornbread muffins were a perfect addition. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant takes Covid safety measures seriously and we felt quite comfortable waiting the few minutes for our orders to be prepared.

Always great bbq, been coming here for years. This time I got the brisket philly, green beans and onion rings. Best onion rings in town. Philly done right. Great service too, went over the menu with me and came out to check on me after I started eating.
