I have come to Marcellas (POLARIS) a couple times with normally good service. Today was very poor service. The young lady at the desk went to get my food and brought it back with bread, no oil for the bread, eatting Utensils. Part of the front door was broken. I asked her where was my utensils and then she handed me one. I asked her where was my bread? And she said they didn't have any ready, but she would go cut me some. She used her bare hands and cut me some bread. And threw it in the back. She did not bring any oil with her thats suppose to go with the bread. This was the worst service I've ever had. I talk to the Manager Christian and all he could say was that he would talk to her. I expected better service from an expenisive restaurant like Marcellas. I paid online and left a tip before arriving and now I wish I would not have left a tip at all. The fact that she touches cash, reused munus and everything else and touched my bread with her bare hands is why people become ill. BEWARE!!

Did not honor our reservation, so we had to wait almost half an hour for our table. Ordered the penne alla vodka, but the dish served was not even close to what it’s supposed to be. The pasta was bland and soupy, with huge tomato chunks floating around. They offered for the dish to be remade, but the second time it was even runnier. It felt and tasted like I was eating penne drowned in milk. Very disappointing meal, especially considering penne alla vodka is a relatively easy dish to make.

This place is very nice inside. They have a good gluten free selection. The waiter gave me a whole pitcher of tea, that was nice. The atmosphere was kind of like being in Italy and it was very clean and fancy. They definitely gave great service. It seems like a good place for a date or family time. The prices were not that high either. They made me a gluten free pizza and free GF bread.Dietary restrictions: They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu that is clearly marked on the main menu, a plus for me.

This place is outstanding! It came highly recommended and I can see why. It's a beautiful restaurant located in Short North near tons of bars and hotels, yet it's more of a local's spot. The restaurant is very cozy and beautiful. I made a reservation day, actually night!, of and we had a table when we arrived early (it was a week night but still!) My colleague and I both ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It's a huge piece of tender and juicy, lightly breaded chicken. Well seasoned and topped with marinara sauce. Alongside the chicken is a large pile of pillowy, creamy linguine Alfredo. WOW! It was amazing! You also get bread and oil/vinegar for the table. Prices seem reasonable. Our waitress, Ren, was the absolute best! She was hilarious and kind. We hugged at the end of our dinner and I'd request her everytime I come back! Service was really quick for a busy night. Make a point to have dinner here one night and apparently the meatballs are a must?! The chicken is pretty darn close, too!

Amazing burgers! With great fries, and this menu comes in variety, they are pretty quick with the orders too. The inside is wonderful it has several places for reservations. Wonderful place overall.
