Hi, This is the first time I’ve written a review. I’ve been a server myself for awhile. The service we had was awful. It took 10 minutes until we were greeted and when we were greeted all she said was “I’m guessing you guys have had enough time to look at the menu, what can I get for you”. She only stopped by our table once. After that it was about a 10 minute wait after she offered to grab us the check and had another server drop it off. After she picked up my bill and card she went to the bar and had about a 10 minute conversation with guests at the bar. Then started doing dishes and then dropped our bill off. It took about 15-20 minutes for us to get checked out. We looked around and could tell other guests were getting frustrated as well because there food was done and they were just sitting there like us. We left genuinely in a bad mood. The food was alright-the chicken tasted frozen and chewy. I would not recommend this restaurant. I don’t think we will be coming back.

Upon arrival we were told there was no reservation. I've been going there for years and everything else was fine, but showing up with a group of 10 snd having no reservation was embarrassing and unacceptable.

We walked out as the place smelled like old mop water. We tried to put up with it as the server was pleasant and quick in serving us menus and water...but as much we wanted to stay as the menu looked good. Hopefully, corporate will remind them to revisit the cleaning protocols. Sigh...

My brother and I took my grandmother out for dinner here for her birthday last week. She came in from out of town, and I’ve always heard really good stuff about Mimi’s, so we thought it would be a great opportunity to show her how we do it in Ohio. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was the screaming coming from the back of the restaurant. Immediately unsettling. The girl who sat us was kind and apologetic about the shouts from the kitchen, and she was the only nice employee in this whole restaurant. Our waitress acted like it was an inconvenience to wait on us, slamming our glasses down on the table so hard they spilled. She was cordial with my brother and I, but the way she talked to my grandmother was outrageous. I ordered the Rueben which I won’t lie, it was really good. My brother seemed happy with his meal, too. My grandma, however, found a hair in the steak she ordered. After paying $20 for a contaminated steak (you can’t be messing around with that stuff, there are people who are immune compromised), and enduring a terrible waitress and a man’s screaming from the back room, it only seemed right that the food we got at least made up for the dining experience. But when it was brought to our waitresses attention, she lashed out at us saying it’s not her job to cook, and to bring it up with someone who cares, to paraphrase it politely. I understand having bad days, but cursing at an elderly woman on her birthday in front of her family and the whole restaurant is crossing a line. I was absolutely disgusted by the way this establishment treats it’s senior patrons. I can only imagine how they treat their employees to make them act out in such a way. Not worth your time or money.

I chose this place because it offered breakfast and a unique variety of dishes. I did not regret this choice! The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was friendly, and the food was superb! It was my birthday and my sister wanted to take me out. I had the bacon avacado 3 egg omlet, and she had the quiche florentine. They were both excellent and we were crazy about the muffins! I was so impressed that I chose to return there for dinner when my daughter and her family wanted to take me out for dinner (I had spied out the dinner options on the menu at breakfast). The pot roast was over the top! The nice little room for our party of 9 accommodated us very comfortably. I'm sold on Mimi's and I will be looking for an excuse to return again!

Aaron, our waiter, was outstanding. He was very attentive, offered suggestions and made our lunch experience very pleasant. The food was very delicious. Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. It had been awhile since we've eaten at Mimi's. We went around 1:00 on a Tuesday, and it was quite busy. That's a good sign! We will definitely go to Mimi's again!!!
