Hands down, the best Chinese/Korean food in Columbus, OH. Large portions, food is freshly cooked, decent prices. 1000x better than Ming Ga

I used to go there years ago.I haven't been there since. I went there one fine afternoon about 9 years ago. 3 of us ordered jajangmyun, champon, champion, and sour chicken. As one of us ,was enjoying her jajangmyun She noticed a piece of thread in her jajangmyun.I took a closer look and it was dental floss in her jajangmyun. It was shocking!!!.When I told the manager about it,She told me that is nothing to worry about. She didn't apologize, replace or refunded jajangmyun.Ever since that day which I still vividly remember ,haven't been there since.I don't recommend this place if you want korean-chinese dish.

Food was great and prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere was kinda drab (windows were dusty, etc.) and one of the dishes we ordered was not very good— the fried jjamppong.. service was friendly and competent. Would come here again!

This is my favorite place and I get so happy when I know we're going to eat here I'm from Florida and we travel to Ohio often for family. This is our go to spot. We come here every trip with our family and sometimes a few times while we're in town. Never an issue with seating, never a long wait, always accommodating and always friendly. The food! Holy love the food. Our family is Korean and we can honestly say, this is good Korean food. We always mix and match Korean with Chinese to have best of both worlds. The food is just amazing. Try the Pa Dak with the sauce. It's freakin delicious. The Bulgogi is really good, my son loves it. The soups are amazing. My husband loves this black bean noodle dish, it's Korean I don't know the name but GOOD. We love the food here. Order a little bit of everything and share. I'd always recommend this place for its authenticity and the flavor. You'll always leave full. Highly recommend!

It is a nice, clean restaurant with very good food and great service. My favourite of its kind in the city. I have been there twice already, and I would come back in the future for sure!

Three of us ordered pork Tang Soo Yuk (sweet sour battered meat - you can pour the sauce over all the battered fried meat or just dip), beef hot stone bibimbap, and seafood Jampong (home made wheat noodle in spicy soup). Excellent tasting and big portions. Tasty Korean appetizers (free, tofu, kimchee, pickles etc.) which our server replenished without being asked. Wonderful find!

1. Food quality is insufficient. Lacking vegetables and seafood and such. 2. Waiter is snobby. They are not listening to the customers liking. 3. Before ordering takeout, make sure to check all your food quality before you leave the building. My takeout food quality was not there. Feeling like eating someone's leftover. 4. You can't complain to them because they won't take it so well.. 5. Next time I have to be very specific including my take out Food!

I have been to Poong Mei a couple of times for dinner and I have had a good experience every time. I'm not sure if they have their day of the week specials anymore, but I would get their $6 black bean noodles every Tuesday. That alone would be a great reason to visit! The restaurant is clean and they have soooo many items for you to choose from. I've gotten their seafood jampong, traditional zazang, kimchi & pork soon dubu, dukkboki, bulgogi, boo dae jeongol, and tang soo yuk. I recommend all of those honestly! Check it out if you're ever craving Korean food or if you want to be adventurous and try something new!

Korean and chinese fusion? Yes please! We grabbed takeout here for a weekday lunch. It was open for dine-in as well. Upon arriving, they offer scan menus. The server also offered to bring it out to our car when the food was ready which was very nice of them. We ordered the Tang Soo Yuk with Pork ($16), Chicken Broccoli ($12) and Stir Fried Jjampong ($14). Everything was very tasty with generous portions. We recieved two containers of perfectly cooked short grain white rice. They also included the banchan (korean side dishes) - yellow pickled radish and fresh kimchi. The chicken broccoli was a little bit more salty than we liked but still good on rice. We will definitely come back to try the seafood pancake and zazang noodles!

In all fairness to the chef, the food that was ordered was very flavorful but the heat was incredibly HOT. I normally order a bit of heat but I was asked, "mild or spicey". Also I tried to order Mussels off the carryout menu and was told they didn't have mussels. When I arrived I pointed to the menu item and was told "Oh yeah, mussels" I substituted Squid. Again the flavor was good but the squid was over cooked and was like rubber bands. Wings were recommended but were not found on the menu. I asked on the phone call and they answered "Yes we do". Seems a lot is lost in the translation. I will try again since it was recommended by those who know Korean foods. Foods look great on the website. Prices are fair for the amount received.
