Visiting from out of town and was looking for a bite to eat before a wedding locally. Came to the goat hoping for a quick meal and it was the complete opposite. We were sat immediately to a restaurant that was almost entirely empty except for 3 or 4 tables. It took 15 mins for someone to acknowledge that we were even here. Another 10 mins to get our drinks in which we only received one. We ordered our food when we ordered drinks and it took us 45 mins to get our meal. Don't get the wings because they will come out cold. Would've been better off going to the local McDonalds down the street. If I were you I would keep looking.

food is good, but service is not. we were told we had to wait for 20 minutes and it ended up being 30 minutes, which isn't too bad. then we waited at least 30-40 minutes for our food to get here once we ordered. server never checked on us, did not bring out drinks we ordered until food arrived, and just seemed very disinterested in serving us. they seemed annoyed when we would ask for sauce or anything extra. they also split some of our checks incorrectly and added things we didn't ask for. Overall not a good experience and would probably just go to a different location for better service.

Decent location but parking can be tricky. The food itself was decent but the service was sub par. Waited for drinks for 20 min while the sever shot the shit with the bartender and we were one of two tables in the place for lunch. When I ordered ranch, he brought be bbq sauce??? How do you even ask for ranch again after that.... Was wild

I LOVED my waitress Ariel, she is the nicest waiter I have experienced at The Goat. She serves w/ a smile and always is attentive to her guest. I had a semi complicated order and she got it right with no issues. I always sit at the bar when I come and this time was by far by best experience & thats all thanks to Ariel. If you come please ask for her & tip her well ;) !!

It's a very pleasant atmosphere. The food is remarkable. Even though they were short of employees, the servers were doing their best to please their guests.

I love Ariel, she is attentive, efficient, & effective. I have my own bar but I patronize this location because the people & the drinks are great. Tyler is a wonderful leader & the staff reflect their efforts.

Ordered delivery. The chicken bacon ranch mac. It was 18$ and the portion size was ridiculously small. It seemed like a side order. For 18$ you think you would get at least a full sized meal. Tasted good but only for the 5 bites it took me to eat it.

Decent coffee and two vegan breakfast options! Go with the breakfast biscuit and not the scramble. Cozy spot to grab a coffee/biite.Parking: Street parking is a pain.

This place has slowly gone down hill since I started coming here and I am hoping if I make a comment something will actually get done. The management here is just horrible. I remember they used to at least touch tables. Not anymore. They are too busy hiding I guess? Only 1 good burger and only 2 total? Menu needs some updating. I think I am gonna start going next door to the hydeout until this place gets it together.

Stopped by with a few friends for lunch. Was sat down pretty quickly, I ordered the chicken buffalo wrap it was pretty good, our waitress was amazing! She was super friendly and tentative she kept our drinks topped off and made sure our food came out the way we wanted it to. I believe her name was Malaya, props to her!

The food was par for the course. Nothing amazing, but good decent food. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. The tacos have ingredients that would make you think they’d be on the sweet side, but surprisingly they had a nice balance of sweet and savory. I was disappointed with the sweet potato fries. I had my palette ready for hot out the grease fries ready to be dipped in a good cinnamon butter, only to be let down to the reality of having to dip my sweet potato fries in KETCHUP! Yuck!!! Really, no cinnamon butter?!? It’s one of the easiest condiments to prepare in the kitchen! So I disappointedly ate them with no condiment to dip them in. Mediocre! Now let’s talk about service. There was no one to greet me as I entered the establishment, just a lonely sign saying wait to be seated, then a sweet young African American woman asked if I needed something. Well, I’m complying with your sign. So she seats me and then my server finally appears after about a 10 minute wait. Not good for business! She brought me some cold water (no ice) in a glass and became offended when I told her there was no need to put the water on my table because I don’t drink municipal water. It was nothing against her or the establishment, I don’t trust the water supply in ANY municipality (remember Flint, MI)! It was downhill with her from there. She wears her feelings on her face. I asked to quickly speak to the chef and she told me HER chefs were busy and couldn’t come out. I could understand that if the place was busy, but my goodness, I’d want to know if there’s a better way to make something as simple as sweet potato fries and amazing dish just by changing the condiment you serve it with. The server (young, short, white female) needs an attitude adjustment and needs to know it’s just as easy to smile as it is to be a sour puss! All in all, the meal was just okay and I left the establishment wanting sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter! Lol!Would I come back? Sure, only to try other things on the menu and to give them a chance for a better review. Sorry for not having any pics. Will do so in the future.Chef ReneeVegetarian options: I’m a pescatarian, so that’s why I went with the fish tacos (simple). There’s not much on the menu for plant-based offerings.

Have been now multiple times - brunch and lunch - food very good every time. Service seems a little sluggish consistently though - only reason to drop score a bit.

This was my first experience at The Goat and I'm sorry to say it was not good. First we had a party of 6 coming to a show at the Ohio Theater. We called ahead to get a reservation for 5:45 to be considerate to the staff due to our number. We were told it wasn't necessary but we insisted and the person on the phone was clearly irritated but took it. We arrived on time to find many people waiting. The FOH manager called out if any of us had reservations and because we had one we were seated immediately. The restaurant was nearly empty. We waited for about 20 minutes before our server took our drink order. We went ahead and placed our dinner order at the same time. It took another 20 minutes for our drinks to come (3 mixed, 3 sodas) and then we waited, and waited and waited but no entrees. We stopped our server after about 30 minutes to inquire as we had a 7:30 show. We were told " everybody here is going to the show and showed up at 6". Well, we came at 5:45 with a reservation. We then noticed that literally nobody in the entire restaurant had food. I have never seen such a thing. We were told that we would have to wait another 25 minutes for our order. We decided to wait it out and eat fast. Next thing I know I'm hearing the FOH manager tell the couple seated behind us that there was going to be a wait for their food as well because they didn't have a reservation and should have made one and also should not have come at 6 because they should have known it would be busy. I needed to pick my jaw up off the floor. Our food came out at 6:50, a full hour after we arrived, which was cutting it close but we made it work. The ability to pay on an app was a big help. The food was fine, my issue is the staff blaming the customers for coming to the restaurant at, would you believe, dinner time. The restaurant is situated mid-way between 2 popular venues and as such should not be surprised that they have customers when there are big shows in town. What we think happened is the kitchen was likely grossly short-staffed and instead of being transparent about the problem and giving people the option to go elsewhere they blame-shifted and treated us like WE were the problem. I was stunned. This kind of poor treatment is going to sink your restaurant and sink it fast as it appears to be a repeat problem.

I guess if you go mid-week you don't get service. Showed up at about 5 pm, no one was at the front desk. A couple minutes later we were seated. No issue there. Got greeted by the waitress and the complimentary water. And that's where the good stops. From there my wife and I were left waiting. After about 30 minutes we walked out after recieving no additional service and not even placing an order. First time there. Will never be back.
