As someone who really loves bagels. This place didn’t fall short. What I can appreciate is they don’t try to do too much. Everything I had(vegetarian lox, everything with chive and salt and herb with matcha and honey) was done expertly and nothing fell short. Upon the first bite it was clear why this is on the “best bagels outside of NY list”, because if it was in NYC, it would be on the “best bagels in NYC list”.Thanks for a great bagel!

These were utterly amazing bagels imo. We got two sandwiches, and a dozen to take home. Even after two days the bagels we brought home were better than anything we can get locally (grocery store or Panera are our options). I will absolutely be back when I'm in Columbus!

The only thing the Lox Shop needs is more seats so that more people can enjoy its signature sandwich.If excelling at a specific thing on repeat was represented as a restaurant, it would be this place and its lox bagel sandwich. Everything about it is just superb!Parking: Parking can be somewhat of a puzzle. Typical pains of parking in the short north, but can be annoying for anyone from out of town, that is not used to the area.

Their bagels are superb. Everybody is friendly. All bagels are artisanally made, with love, you can see that. The coffee has a good taste and a beautiful smell.
The best spicy chive spread with a fresh baked everything bagel I have ever eaten. Didn't care for the taste of the coffee so much but loved the entire experience.

The herbs and sea salt bagel was perfection - no other bagel will ever meet this standard.I had the cauliflower melt and it was TO DIE FOR.Plus the staff was exceptional - kind, considerate, and patient (we didn't realize the closing time and had sat there past close and they didn't even kick us out).TOO GOOD!
Stopped in today for the first time. The Cuban on Sesame was recommended and I could not agree more. Great place and the food was delicious. I will be back if in town again. I have to try their breakfast sandwich.---Update: I was back in town again. I did make my way to The Lox again and tried the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Of course I added bacon and selected the sea salt and herb bagel. It was OUTSTANDING!! I will be back when in town

I think it's a great, cute little shop. It's just really weird to see the making of the bagels by everyone at the front with no gloves on who touch their personal phones, the work phone, the coffee machines, their clothes, the trash and their water bottles then immediately also go back to creating bagels from dough without washing their hands. I know dough is better kneaded bare handed but there could be at least a specific group of ppl, that touch nothing else, if gloves are not gonna be used and hands not washed. Or you know you could be behind a wall that no one can see. It's just odd to see the lack in hygiene standards esp after 2020. Doesn't make their food or service less, just the hygiene is very very questionable.
