Sadly we left before we were seated. When we arrived we were told there would be a 45 minute wait. We waited for an hour then I again checked with the waitress who said she could not give me an accurate time for when we could be seated. We decided to leave. Definitely not happy!

While my onion soup and steak were good, my companions steak was very undercooked and even after sending back it still came out rare. The server never asked about it or offered to fix it, just brought a box.

I can’t speak highly enough of the buckhorn. Came in March and coming again in May. My husband and I had a really healing experience. My only wish is that the beds were softer but it’s a trade off I’ll take for warm staff, beautiful ground, and great breakfast.

Good food and prices were good. Was about 26 dollars for a 12 ounce steak. Great food and nice and quiet inside

A quaint local tavern with a fabulous atmosphere and underwhelming food. Both of our Prime Ribs ordered medium came rare to raw. The onion rings were oily. The grilled vegetables were flavorless. However, the bread, onion soup, and carrot cake saved the day. I've been told the Ribs are top-notch, so since I really want to like this place, I may come back to try them.

Stepping into Buckhorn Tavern feels like a warm embrace from an old friend. The ambiance is rustic yet inviting, with a touch of nostalgia that makes you feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. The cabbage rolls were a delightful surprise, perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection. Accompanied by a side of corn and creamy mashed potatoes, each bite was a comforting nod to homestyle cooking. To wash down the hearty meal, I opted for a pour of Woodford Reserve neat. The bourbon's smooth, rich flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel was the perfect companion to the savory dishes. And for a refreshing finish, the Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald beer, with its robust and roasty character, provided a satisfying end to an exceptional dining experience.Buckhorn Tavern truly excels at delivering classic comfort food with a gourmet twist, all while making you feel like part of the family. A must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a cozy setting.

Thw Buckhorn is a forgotten gem. MEANING it is not a place in our mind to attend, but after the last visit the Buckhorn will definitely be in our favorite restaurant rotation. The food was amazing, the price was very reasonable. The portion size great.... Went there for prime Rib, but only sold on Friday and Saturday so chose something else that was equally amazing... its just an all around great experience. Can't wait to go back!<update> I eventually was able to try the BIG prime Rib. It looked amazing. They only have it on Friday and Saturday. I was VERY disappointed. It was the most tough ..way undercooked prime Rib I have ever had. I believe in second chances.. will give it one more chance... but the liver and onions were amazing

Been living in this area 40 years. This place has always been a special place to our residents. But boy has the food reallly went down hill. The prime rib has been my go to.The meat was supposed to be mid rare but it was raw.Grissel was running throughout the whole cut you can tell it lowest quality cut of meat.Tasted old and just blah. The wife got the ribs.they also tasted old and blah.Took forever to get in and forever to get out.Dont waste your time.Just go to The Roadhouse
