This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in our area. The food is excellent & always fresh. They have the best spring roll I have ever eaten. My husband and I visit often and prefer to sit at the bar where Patricia works. Everyone is nice, but she is our favorite!! I definitely recommend trying China Cottage (CENTERVILLE location).

This is our date night go-to. We love getting the pao pao platter to start and splitting an entree. It's a perfect amount and it all goes so well with a pot of their tea. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. So happy we started going here and will continue to

It's absolutely terrible, the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to...Wow, this place was, and I repeat, was a high ranked Chinese restaurant. This was the absolute worst in all categories. Service was terrible, and the food was terrible . I'll give the worst part, Mu Shu Pork dinner we ordered, the mu shu pancakes or mandarin pancakes were Mexican tortillas, I couldn't believe it. I thought I went to a Chinese restaurant. The service, oh my other than bringing our food, we never saw our server again , no refills of drinks or anything and had to get up and find someone to get us our bill... will never go there again...

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Dayton area! Everything I’ve gotten here is so good. Most recently I tried the orange beef and it was delicious. The service is usually pretty quick and servers are friendly. Reasonable prices for great food!

$46 whole duck. Entire thing was way over cooked to point it was dry. Burnt bones. Waitress didn’t know menu was frustrating and spoke little English. Had Sam Adams beer on menu but only the brand and didn’t know what kind they had. Just over all frustrating place to eat. With such poor quality of food. Still tipped nice and was polite but not worth second visit.

The food here was delicious, as is par for the course for all 3 China Cottage locations we have tried. I personally found the atmosphere at this one to feel old. I have a feeling this may have been the original & the other 2 in the area branched from them, maybe? It felt cramped & just not as pleasant to me. The service was ok, once they got to us. They definitely favored the regulars. We typically go to the Far Hills location and had also visited the Springboro location on occasion, as well. I understand the Springboro location has closed and plans to build a new facility in the area, but no opening date at this point. I do recommend the food from any location, even if doing carry-out.Kid-friendliness: I have not noticed this restaurant having a separate children's menu.

Stood at the front counter for 20 minutes, was never acknowledged by anyone. 3 people were running their carryout section, one manager was there but did not seem to have a good handle on the situation. Saw multiple people leave for the same reason we did, one couple was waiting for 30 minutes and then got skipped to be seated by a group of 7 who had just walked in.

Food was barely warm, rice was sticky and was a different sauce than past visits. Service was slow and staff were not friendly. Appears maybe has new owners. Definately not the same quality as in the past.

I got a carry out. The steam rice was very wet and taste terrible. The quality of food is going down hill. The food was leaking out of bag. This is the last time I would go to this restaurant.

This place used to be higher quality to match the higher price. The last I ordered it really didn't taste any better than the China wok around the corner that's less than half the price
