I cannot rate this any higher! From the moment we stepped into this place, it takes you back to simpler times. Our waiter Dean was incredible and honestly one of the most chilled and happy guys I've ever had. He had the most relaxed and calm demeanour and he served so excellently, he definitely is a great asset to your team and deserves some attention and praise for his professionalism ?Now going into the most important section, THE FOOD. Goodness me it was so so good. A simple classic menu with fresh ingredients and cooked effortlessly, if you want delicious food as well as quality service, this place is it!Not to mention how reasonable the pricing is, it's so well priced and you're actually paying really good low prices for such great food and attentive service. I only review the best places and this place gets my vote for the most underrated place in the whole of Dayton area. This definitely deserves more hype and attention. Please pay this amazing Cafe and of course the historical museum of Dayton a visit! A literal step back in time and a rare diamond among cafes. ✨️

Don't be fooled by the location being at the park. This place is the best hidden brunch/lunch gem. They have great little tables inside the train car or space to put together tables for bigger groups (like 10-15). The sun coming in the windows feels amazing. Last time I went we were trying to go to a different breakfast place but the wait was super long. We came here instead and sat right down and got great food and service. Probably will just forget the other busy places and come here only!

Amazing atmosphere and vibe! great food with classic favorites and they even have a soda bar. Chill 2 soft swing music and enjoy an amazing milkshake. You can enter the café without visiting the museum or do both and make a day of it.Dietary restrictions: No sugar free options but still great.Parking: Great free lot.Kid-friendliness: A good place for children with child friendly menu.

We love coming to Culp's. Atmosphere is fancy enough for a date, yet welcoming enough for our infant and todler to run around and explore when it's not too busy. Our favorite are their homemade sodas, but the food we've ordered is excellent too.Kid-friendliness: The staff are excellent at talking with our kids under 3, and when the place isn't too busy, the kids are welcome to walk around the train car or climb onto the soda pop barstools. If it's busy, I just bring our kids into parts of the museum and gift shop while we wait for our food. I've never felt like my kids' voices or energy was too much for anyone there.

Zero complaints. Food was amazing! Service was incredible! Prices were fair for the atmosphere, the history and the quality of food. I would recommend everyone try this place. You don't have to pay museum admission for the restaurant, but the museum is worth the visit also.
