We have had good food and meh food here. Stick to what you know in this large menu. I ventured outside my usual Asian menu item rotation on a recommendation from the waitress. Got the brisket. Lots of unrendered fat and not as tender as I'd hoped. Ended up not finishing it. Not the servers fault I didn't like it, just not what I expected - service was very attentive. Fried rice, lo mein, sweet and sour chicken were all tasty. I'll stick with a classic next time

First time here. We were here with multiple families to celebrate Chinese New Year. They were definitely not prepared or expecting a crowd. Our party were seated in 2 separate tables. Services was slow and food came out slow. They didn't have certain items which was disappointing.

Wow, first time visiting on Friday 2/9/24 about 7pm. Restaurant was about half full with 2 wait staff and at least 1 other helper. Placed my order fairly quickly and then waited.... 20...30...45 minutes and I still didn't have my food. Wait staff wasn't overly friendly and would be noticeably absent for many minutes - presumably so they didn't have to talk to the guests. There were several other tables who had not been served either who had gotten there before me. Not sure what was going on but it would have been nice to get a food update. I was unable to get the attention of wait staff so I got up and left. No plans on going back. It is obvious you are just a number here.

Some of the best Chinese food I've had. If they are busy it can be REALLY slow. The restaurant was 70% full and it took us an hour to get our appetizer.

Best Chinese/Cantonese food near me. A fave is the eggplant. Just got takeout this time but will definitely need to go back and try some of the other dishes. The menu is extensive.

Fu Mon Lau Reminds us of our recent visit to China Centerville welcomes a much needed new Chinese restaurant. A formal Chinese banquet can involve many courses, with platters of food laid out on the Lazy Susan. Our China experiences began with both large American and Chinese breakfast buffets and always many courses, with platters of food laid out on the Lazy Susan for both lunch and dinner. These pleasant and attractive banquets may have lasted two hours. Fu Mon Lau dining area offers this features, and we encourage folks to attend in groups of 6 - 8. Definitely room for growth and development with dishes - we tend to eschew numerous chicken dishes and beef dishes. We began with a spicy Hot and Sour Soup which cleared the sinuses - excellent. Caveat: Servers are learning and doing their very best - English remains a barrier in ordering - be very patient. Thankfully, new owners have an understated dining area. We both elected seafood - C089 Szechuan Jumbo Shrimp. Our expectations for Szechuan seasoning were UNMET, and it was difficult to convey our expectation to servers (really missed the Thai seasoning scale.) Menu suggested Live seafood, and sure enough there were lobsters and Dungeness crabs - unfortunate that refrigeration noise is loud and intrusive.... Way above local buffets, and there is potential IF cooking staff will grow to meet the Dayton market needs. We have hope....

As a Chinese, I have seen many Chinese restaurant collect tips automatically even for a small party of 2. Its fine by me. The problem is, they treat people differently base on their race. We (2 people) struggled to have our drink refilled while they carefully filling soup of a group of white people. Still I was going to pay the tip at 18%. When I get the check and put the tip on it, I noticed that the amount was not right, so I asked and they finally told me that a 18% tip was already included. So I almost get tricked. And they also admit (pretty bold) that they do not put tips automatically on white people group . The reason they give is "some Chinese people are really bad". And all that talk was in Chinses. How funny lol.

Don't go to this restaurant if you are a CHINESE!!!!!! RACIST RESAURANT!!!! I have NEVER run into this nonsense in my whole life. They automatically add 18% tip without notifying you if you ARE A CHINESE.Me and my friend (Only 2 people) went to FuMonLau for the third time and after we got the receipt, my friend noticed that there were 18% tips without our consent. The staff told me a lot of chinese people tend to give low tips so they charged 18% automatically and they have run this rule for years. I asked that was it the same for the non-Chinese customers and what I got was infuriating. THEY SAID ONLY IF THE PARTY IS MORE THAN 5 PEOPLE BECAUSE TEHY ARE NOT AS CHEAP AS CHINESE!!!!!! This is the first time I have ever run into racist situation after I arrived in the United States and I cannot believe it happens in a CHINESE restaurant!!!!!!!Please do me favor don't go to this RACIST restaurant!!!!!! If you really want to go there, check the receipt again and again. Don't give more tips because they have already charged it, which happens to me last two times.
