I genuinely appreciate Ghostlight's vegan offerings. Even though Dayton is the sixth most populous city and the state's fourth-largest metropolitan area, the vegan selections in Dayton are pretty slim, so having a coffee house that has great treats and drinks that a vegan can imbibe is very much appreciated.

I’ve lived in South Park for years and miss going to Ghostlight on Wayne Avenue with friendly baristas. The team that has been working in the mornings, particularly a blonde with bangs, is very unwelcoming and hostile almost every time I go in. My orders are always simple but I’m met with such a resentful attitude and even comments from her if I ask for something as basic as extra ice.I’ve worked in the service industry for 15 years and have been a barista myself in other countries and am blown away by how uninviting the experience is made by the staff. As a hotel front desk receptionist, I have never recommended this local coffee shop which is too bad but I don’t want to recommend a business with such a hostile staff. In addition to the unfriendliness, they are not the fastest baristas so they drag out the hostile experience. Would not recommend.

The establishment boasts charming aesthetics, though prices are slightly elevated, and the coffee menu is somewhat limited. Service quality was acceptable.

First time here, had a mocha. A little on the sweet side for me. We ordered ahead but the staff had not seen the order so we had to wait. Will try again.

Ghostlight has been a local favorite of mine for years now. I'm not a huge fan of coffee, that's one thing I'm very picky about, but I actually like the taste of Ghostlight's coffee. While they do use beans from Deeper Roots, a local coffee roaster in Cincinnati, Ohio, they also use the most perfect syrups and milks that blend into a wonderful latte, cortado, or cappuccino. It's not too bitter, not too sweet, and if there's any time I want to try something new, I know Ghostlight is a safe place to do that. I'm also a fan of their cold brew. It has a unique taste that you just can't find other places. Their staff has always been kind to me and understanding of my brother (who has autism). I also enjoy dining in at any of there locations as the aesthetic is warm, welcoming, and calming. Thank you Ghostlight.
I always worry about parking when I go near any downtown but there was available parking behind the cafe. I had to try their chai as that is my go-to--unfortunately tasted like the kind of liquid chai you can purchase at the store. I did like seeing the local artist works displayed along the walls and the fun origami decorations hanging around. They do a good job of offering different types of seating for the limited space they have along with access to plugs for working.

The Atmosphere inside is warm and inviting with a cozy Victorian style interior. The baristas were nice and friendly, I will note that due to the volume of customers that were in there at the time it was kind of hard to hear. They have back lot parking with a spot available for handicapped people. Food and drink were phenomenal, I got the London Fog drink which was complex but smooth and the Raison oatmeal Muffin which was remarkably moist and delicious.
