When I first arrived we sat waiting at the door for 5 minutes until someone finally came to seat us. We ordered food, where I had noodles and my friend had hotpot. They ended up charging me for hotpot for two people, even though I didn't eat any. I even had to correct them when they tried charging me for 3 people. It ended up being a little over $100 for two people somehow. Food was alright, the only decent part but nowhere nearly justifiable for the price.

Kung Fu BBQ always impresses me with both their exceptional food and top-notch service. The menu offered a delightful fusion of flavors, perfect for family gatherings and large events. I am a supervisor at a local foster care agency and this is the second year in a row I have booked them to cater our Christmas/holiday party. Their catering service shone during our recent party. They provided a seamless and delicious experience that left everyone satisfied and raving about their food. Kung Fu BBQ is a standout choice for both intimate family meals and large-scale events.

The Barbecue Sifu undoubtedly makes some of the most inspired barbecue I have ever eaten. Without a doubt THE BEST grilled cheese, tacos, and Cubano sandwich I have ever encountered…. I felt like I needed a cigarette afterwards, if you catch my meaning.Every person should eat here at least once in their lives!

A hidden gem! Fantastic BBQ food! The tan worked fantastically to get our order together. Loving the new base location. Pumped to have such a great option on Area B!

Tried the red two times. The restaurant allows you to order food as usual, or you can do the 1.5-hour hotpot. I tried it two times with my friends. For the first time we ordered some fish, napa cabbage and rice cake with meat stir fry. Food was just standard. Serving size was huge however. The rice cake dish was indeed too salty. Next time I took my Japanese friend there hoping to experience some Chinese hotpot culture. The service waiter said we could only grab food for 1.5 hours, unfortunately it turned out that we must leave after 1.5 hours, and if there's something we haven't finished we need to pay extra. Very confusing and upsetting rules. Besides the hotpot cooked food slowly so we did not have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of food. So in general the restaurant is just so so. May not go there anymore.

They always have amazing food and customer service that somehow manages to outpace they're delicious food! If you ever get a chance to have their tacos and you pass it up it is your loss not mine! They have absolutely the best brisket birria tacos I've ever had in my life.

I look forward to Kungfu BBQs new items. I had their tacos yesterday and it was the best tacos I have ever had. Shame on all the other tacos I have had in my life. I experience iimmense sorrow when the tacos are gone.

Food was pretty good but the manager was so rude to us. We only had one hour and half to eat but it took them almost 40 minutes to get our dishes on. We even could not split our bill at the end and I even found that the owner added additional fees for service (other than 18% tip) to our bill when I checked our receipt later.

It has been 1,765 days since my last visit to Kung Fu BBQ - far too long. For an overview of my experiences at Champaign-Urbana's #1 dining experience, please see my 2 previous reviews here: bit.ly/2jZmx0P Upon arriving for my 3rd visit, my dining partner, Will M. and I were greeted by the unparalleled matriarch of dining and customer service herself - Helen. We were informed that BBQ was no longer an option at this fine establishment (due to a perceptive awareness of COVID precautions). However, an even better form of nourishment had taken its place: hot pot. Helen was as generous as ever, possibly even more doting than she was nearly 5 years ago when we first met (our society is desperate for more people like Helen). She explained hot pot dining to Will M. and me, and she proceeded to expertly prepare hand-curated dipping sauces, each personalized to our specific palates. These dipping sauces were divine and amplified the wonderful experience of hot pot. We enjoyed the half & half pot (original + spicy), Nz prime-aged lamb, sliced fatty beef, and cuttlefish among other scrumptious choices. Our hot pot and cups of water were replenished meticulously by a staff member named Mateo. He also kept the nearby tables sanitized (Kung Fu BBQ is a COVID-conscious zone, per my assessment). Kung Fu BBQ remains peerless among all Champaign dining establishments. Its food, service staff, atmosphere, and beauty are truly a treasure on earth. I can't recommend this place (and their very reasonable 90 min time limit) more.
